BLIZZCON OCTOBER 28TH AND 29TH AT THE ANAHEIM CONVENTION CENTER!
Blizzard Entertainment welcomes you to the inaugural BlizzCon at the
Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, on October 28-29th,
2005! BlizzCon is a festival celebrating the Warcraft, StarCraft, and
Diablo franchises and, of course, the players who have helped make
them so popular around the world. BlizzCon 2005 will spotlight World
of Warcraft, but will also feature hands-on gameplay of StarCraft:
Ghost and other Blizzard games. Some of the activities at BlizzCon
will include:
* First ever public showing of the first Expansion Set for World of
Warcraft
* Q&A panels with the World of Warcraft and StarCraft: Ghost
developers
* Playing World of Warcraft Battlegrounds live with friends
* 1st public hands-on gameplay of StarCraft: Ghost
* BlizzCon Invitational Tournament, featuring top Warcraft III and
StarCraft professional gamers from around the world
* A separate LAN area stocked with PCs for your gaming pleasure
* A blowout closing night concert featuring a to-be-announced band -

SHANE DABIRI'S BATTLE PLAN
Shane Dabiri, World of Warcraft's Lead Producer, has released his
latest Battle Plan detailing what's on the horizon for the game.
Along with discussing upcoming live features, new zones and
Battlegrounds, and long-term efforts like hero classes - Shane also
mentions what will be shown at BlizzCon and a couple of tantalizing
nuggets on the first Expansion Set for World of Warcraft.

the BlizzCon card you receive will also contain an access code for an
upcoming Blizzard beta test. Once you receive the card, you'll be
able to visit a Blizzard Web site, enter the code, and sign up to be
contacted when the upcoming beta test is ready for you to join. While
beta tests give us a chance to fine-tune our work, they also provide
the unique opportunity of allowing participants to try out and give
feedback on a Blizzard title before it becomes available to the
general public.

BLIZZCON STARCRAFT MAP CONTEST RESULTS
The five winning StarCraft maps that will be used in the BlizzCon
Invitational have been chosen! We received hundreds of great entries,
and the process of judging the winners was certainly not easy. In
October, the StarCraft community's eyes will be focused on the
talented players flown in from across the globe competing on these
maps. Here are the deserving winners and their creations:
