In most jurisdictions all a casino can do is ask you to leave.
Some casinos will ban you from BJ but allow other table play
as well as slot play.
No, they have no lawful right to take your personal property be
it chips or anything else. If the player gets escorted to the door
immediately and issued a trespass warning (common in Vegas),
said player may have a bit of a hard time redeeming her chips.
That is a question one should query the local gaming commission
about.
