Quite, wlg. Quite.
The most lasting damage to a boy's heart and soul is derived from his
peers and the general adult world around him. I recall a story,
perhaps posted earlier, of a boy who had been involved with a
Boylover, who spent considerable time at this individual's home and
had many reasons to do so voluntarily--icecream and video games, a new
stereo, perhaps a new bike. I generally frown on enticement, but I
cannot say the boy did not have genuine affections for the gentleman.
The boy's benefactor was later arrested, and when the story got out,
the taunting and cruelties of his classmates (the boy was just
fifteen) drove the poor lad to commit suicide by tossing himself from
a tower.
So while with his gentleman, the young boy received gifts, attention
and perhaps even love. What then had society given him, other than
shame, rejection and fathomless despair?
Such is the nature of this beast and I pray it be damned for the
damage it does. And the antagonists dare claim love a perversion!
Always very good to hear from you, wlg. Be safe and happy, and
healthy if you can work it in!
