I havent actually seen anything like that occur there. No one has tried
to talk anyone out of doing what their doctor recommmended or anything
like that.
Ive seen the same thing in various religious, lifestyle, and hobby
groups. Its like a satanist in the christian newsgroup, or
christian in the wiccan newsgroup, nazi in the black newsgroup,
vegan in a beef newsgroup, phobic fanatic in gaypride, M.A.D.D.
in beer, PITA in horseracing. Its not that their facts are wrong, just
that its not what the newsgroup is for.
And for many the posts arent even an effort to inform or discuss. Its an
effort to drown a newsgroup out of existence so that no one can ask a
reasonable question which is on topic.
