Solomon's Private File #407
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 34 in this story, in the Spring of 2060.
Solomon's Private File #407 "Raminor And Manchin, Adepts"

travel as you do!" Raminor said, "We have to breathe when we get there,
so we have to know all about atmospheres, and to do that, we have to
know all about atoms and molecules." I said, "Dying is SO wasteful."
They both agreed with smiles. In Adept training, they learned to manage
their chakras and other life processes. I said, "Port to a high
altitude from a low one, the instant change in air pressure can damage
you, if you don't know how to manage your bodies so as to prevent that.
Your PK shields aren't very good for that, but there is another shield
that is. We'll test for that, and porting, soon. Don't try before that,
or you could kill yourselves." Manchin said, "Has that happened?" I
said, "One of my father's students ported to a pool in his sleep. It
could have been to airless space, if he had been dreaming about that,
in stead of sex in the pool." Grins. I said, "He didn't die, but others
have in accidental porting. Things related to it can destroy entire
worlds. We need to be careful." They really agreed.
Then we did chakra attacks. That was bad. They felt bad during it,
very bad, and some of that was for doing to each other, who they loved.
Mental partitioning was more interesting for them. So was science. I
said, "You can mentally contact a person by using a mental picture.
Make a picture of your bedroom, both of you, and will it to be active."
Raminor said, "There's a ball on my bed!" Manchin said, "On my bed,
too. Does this mean we can see what's real through these images at a
distance?" I said, "Yes it does, and that's not restricted to the speed
of light, in real time sight and actions, but there is a limit in being
able to activate or connect, based on relative speed differences,
usually which happen above about 5% of the speed of light." They said
"Wow!" I said, "That, too." Chuckles. I said, "Each of you, VERY
carefully, reach into your picture with an imaginary hand and pick up
your ball." They did that, and were very surprised. I said, "Put the
ball down, and dismiss the image. You have passed the test for the
Senior Adept abilities, which includes porting. Now we will start the
training." They were all grins.
One of their medical students asked to see me. He said, "Your
teachers have become noticeably more mature recently. They seem more
assured, somehow more powerful." I smiled, and said, "And do you think,
you and your fellow doctors have also not improved?" He said, "Oh!
We're improving each other!" I said, "Always." I said, "I remember how
you were before you came to us, better than you do." He grinned with
embarrassment. I said, "And as you learn from them, they are still
learning from me, including fighting arts. That increases their
personal confidence." He said, "Equal to Marcel?" I said, "That's
difficult to measure. They have different bodies, and different
temperaments and interests. They're different, and so have learned
differently, and will use that knowledge and ability differently. One
thing I will say. Hurting others hurts them much more than it would
hurt Marcel to do that." He nodded, and said, "I had thought that. They
care very much for people, and WE care about them. I think that anybody
who wants to hurt them, will have to go through us, first, and I think,
Marcel, too." I said, "I feel the same. They inspire love. We will
discover if they always act to deserve it. I know what you want to say
about that, but people have different selfish opinions. I've had to do
some things that some people would hate me for. They may have to do
similar things for the good of all, that are not for the good of some.
Everybody has enemies, even if only because of jealous envy."
He said, thoughtfully, "I understand. They're becoming men, and with
more responsibilities because of that, that are beyond being just
teaching assistants." I said, "You know they are different, and in ways
you can't fully understand." He said, "Yes, in a good way, but we don't
discuss it. We know it would harm their safety to do so." I said, "In
other lands, they would be killed by frightened mobs." He looked
horrified, and said, "We can't allow that to continue! The world needs
them!" I said, "True. That's their mission, to find those children, and
protect them, and teach them how to be good people so they can serve
the world, as I do, and they will." He said with tears, "Thank you!"
Then he looked strange, and then noticed my grin. He said, "YOU are
like them! You have to be, to teach them." I said, "The obvious we need
to know is often the most hidden from us. Don't say it!" He laughed,
knowing I meant the wisdom comment.
I said, "There are some things you should know. They are not now able
to lie. They are unable to use their special abilities in an unjust
way. If they kill a person, they will die." He said, "They are holy." I
said, "As you think of that, yes." He said, "As you are." I said, "But
they're shorter." He grinned, and said, "Are they able to see the
thoughts of others?" I said, "No, not in a useful way, but they do
sense feelings. Many people do that, mostly unaware of how. That's one
thing they are NOT, is unaware." He grinned, and said, "We've noticed
that. Marcel is like that, too. Observational skill. You're a great
teacher!" I said, "I was raised by the best and most wise. I can't help
but be who I am from that." He said, "Can they see the future?" I said,
"They cannot, but like all people, they may experience some odd warning
about a future event, and not understand what it means until after the
event happens. Frustrating." He grinned, and said, "True. That's
happened to me and others I know." I said, "But they are of the highest
intelligence and knowledge in the land. That could enable them to
deduce some of the likely future, more accurately than others."
He said, "You don't include yourself in that?" I said, "I'm not of
this land. There are hundreds like them in the world, but only one of
me. That's more like a curse to me, than a good thing, but I do what I
must, for the good of all." He said, "I hadn't thought about that, how
lonely you must be. Oh, I think I didn't help you with that." I
grinned, and said, "True, but that's alright. There is something I
should clarify. With their intelligence, observational ability, sensing
of emotions, and understanding of how people are, they don't much need
to see the thoughts of others, to know what many of them are, and they
will always know when they're lied to, when the feelings they sense are
not in accordance with what the person says." He said, "We've seen
that. Some thought incorrectly why. I'll tell them." I said, "Thank
you. What else you tell them, well, your choices will be interesting,
but I hope not harmful." He said, "That's going to be a problem. Oh,
well." We grinned, and he left.
The boys came in and hugged me. Raminor said, "That was unusual!"
Manchin said, "You were very careful. Now we''ll see how careful HE
will be." I said, "We should pity him. He's discovered that some
knowledge is better not learned, for the trouble it can cause one."
They thought about that.
Raminor said, "Are you from another world?" I said, "Yes. And before
you try to discover more, blindly, yes the people there look different.
So, why don't I?" Manchin said, "It's not illusion, or a 4th shield.
You can change your body?" I said, "I'll give you a hint. I'm with my
family now., and with a lot of other students on other worlds who are
wondering the same thing, and to them, I don't look different." Raminor
said, "You can make and use different bodies?" I said, "Yes. No, you
can't do it like I do. You will be able to make things, including
bodies, but you can't split your spirit to be in them to make them be
alive and be you. There is only one person in all the universes and
dimensions who can do that. Er, me." He said in awe, "How many are you
now?" I said, "Billions. Existence is big." They said, "Wow!" Manchin
said, "That means you can't die!" I said, "True, not even of my own
will. Only God can make me die, and He won't for a very long time. I'm
so very useful to Him. I will introduce you to Him when you reach the
level where that's a good thing. I knew it! Used up your quota of wows
for the day." Pokes.
Another day, Raminor asked me, "Do you wear clothes at home?" I said,
"In my home, there is a rule about clothes. The rule is there isn't a
rule." Grins. "Some wear clothes some of the time, and some don't. We
just don't care about that, we who can see all, inside and out, without
eyes. We don't have servants, just as you won't need them here, soon.
We don't need to hide who we are in our homes. But we do need some
protection that some clothes afford, in some situations. Cooking, for
example. Some things you do NOT want to fry." Chuckles. Manchin said,
"Young children here swim in the streams and rivers naked, but adults
don't." I said, "Shame increases with age, until people are so old,
they don't care about that anymore, or much else." Chuckles. I said,
"On some worlds, including mine in places, there are animals in the
water that think parts of us are just too tempting to resist nibbling
on, and that applies more to men than to women. That causes some
concern, with naked swimming." Big grins. I said, "And some animals
have long tendrils that have microscopic stingers all over them. They
have no eyes, so they don't care what parts of people they sting. WE
do!" Laughter.
He said, "We don't need to wear clothes here?" I said, "We have
servants. They have eyes, and they really have busy mouthes, Better to
not cause unwelcome comments and thoughts in other people. They think
you're strange enough already. Too much more of that will be dangerous.
When you can do all they do with your abilities, you can live as
independently as you choose. Without visitors, as you choose. Or you
can do all their work now, yourselves." I grinned at their feelings,
and they laughed.
Later, Manchin said, "We couldn't live on your world?" I said, "Not
without help, no. Your air here is more dense, but with less of a
percentage of oxygen. You wouldn't be able to breathe properly there,
and the different air pressure would make that worse, and also affect
your eyes and other organs. With a lot of skill with a 4th shield, you
could visit, but not so the public could know, just like it is here."
He said, "I understand better now. Thank you." I said, "I can see your
mindtalk links, and what's in them." He was very surprised. He said,
"Will we be able to?" I said, "Probably not, but who knows? Yes, I know
you had to tell him. The bathroom can be a lonely place." Grins and a
hug.
Raminor came out, and said, "Will you tell us where your world is?" I
said, "I'm not able to do that. It's in a different dimension. I can't
describe it so you will understand, who can't see the differences
between dimensions." He said, "Will we be able to?" I said, "Of people
like us, except for one other, only children of my father, and our
children, can, so, probably not. There are limits to everything, and
fair isn't a requirement for reality to exist and rule us." He said,
"People not like us?" I said, "Well, I know a plant who can, but she
can't actually go anywhere. Just look. And God knows all. I have
something for you." I ported two small boxes to my hands. They took
them, and opened them and said, "Wow!" I said, "Have you been
practicing saying that together?" Grins. I said, "Here's the crystal
about them. They read them and had more wows. I said, "You can wear
them any way you wish, but you probably shouldn't encourage thieves. As
if they actually need encouragement for what they do." Grins. Marchin
said, "You aren't wearing one." I said, "Mine get's confused with all
the bodies I use. I wear something like an extension of him when I want
other bonded to know I am, too. Get enough stones together, they will
then be able to talk with you, and probably embarrass me." Grins and
hugs.
I said, in a large grassy area far from habitation, "You're doing
well in porting and handling things through the 4th. Now you need to do
it continuously. Yes, have an activated image external to you, of all
around you, on all the time. When it's automatic, and you don't have to
think about it, we'll go on to the next step." Raminor said, "That will
be forever." I said, "It hasn't been that way with any of my students.
Complaining won't change that." Less then a week later, he realized
that. I said, "You now have the 4th shield. Here's a crystal about it,
and some things you can do with it." They read it, and had wows to
express. I said, "And you have enough math and physics now to
understand levitation. Here's the crystal." Soon, they were playing tag
in the air. I said, "Shields! Ground isn't soft!" Soon, they proved
that, but without harm.
Back at home, Manchin said, "What more could there be to learn?" I
said, "Do you really want to say that? Alright, how do the things in
the bathroom work, and how were they made?" He said, "Oops!" Raminor
poked him, and they laughed. I said, "And how do space ships travel
between the stars?" He said, "We don't need that, we can port." I said,
"You don't need to know how a pistol works, to defend yourselves from
another world in the open, we would need them to think we need a space
ship to do that. So we need to be able to make them." I said, "And to
manage others, should they want to attack another planet. Guardians do
NOT allow that." He said, "Are we Guardians?" I said, "Not yet. You
need to know all they know, to be such. Sooner than you might think."
That really got their attention.
We did more of Senior Adept training, and they were continuously
amazed. Most so for digital tech. Finally, I said, "Now that you know
how to make things, here's a crystal on materials, and where to find
them. Here's one on 4th tools and patterns you can use. Make your own
Guardian Gear. I'll show you how to use the comm." They did that, and
had the belt, the rings, and the wrist computer. I said, "With a high
tech society, you can use those to conceal your use of psi. And it
doesn't hurt to have assistance at times. Oh, by the way, making your
own Guardian Gear, makes you full Guardians." They hugged me hard. I
said, "But you still need to practice them, and you have more to learn.
Going to be a little more fun, though." Grins.
