Solomon's Private File #273
These stories about Stephen and Solomon take place starting in
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 28 in this story, in the Spring of 2054.

There was an outdoor meeting on a Southern island in the Philippines.
I shifted to be near it, and then walked into view. The leader did NOT
want me there, but most of the rest did. I said, "Greetings. I have
some questions. Why are you fighting with the government?" He said, "We
want to be free!" I said, "And why do you want to be free?" He couldn't
think of an answer. I said, "I'm waiting for the answer. I think a lot
of people here would also want to hear it." He said, "I don't know how
to say it. It's a feeling." I said, "If you succeed in becoming free of
the government, how will that be better for your people, in not having
what the government provides?" No answer. I said, "And who will protect
you from other nations who might want your lands?" Silence. I said,
"So, do you think the people here are wondering why you REALLY want to
do this, when it will make things worse for them? No answer? Then I'll
say it. It's just so YOU can feel important. You don't care about your
people. You only care about yourself, and how you can make other people
do just what you want, so you can feel important and powerful. That
what you would do, would make things worse for them, doesn't mean a
thing to you, even that some of them would be killed in what you want
them to do for YOU."
He said, "No, that's not true! He's lying! Kill him!" Nobody moved. I
said, "You just proved to them that I am correct. Only a liar would be
so desperate to kill one who disagrees with him." Nods. I said, "And
they know I can't be killed. That shows them you are foolish, too, in
demanding it." More nods. I said, "I do not lie. You have caused some
people to be killed, and for sinful reasons. I offer you a choice of
consequences. You will feel the pain of what you caused, for the rest
of your life." I was silent. He said in obvious fear, "You said choice.
What is the other choice?" I said, "You have used your voice to cause
harm. You did this so you could hear the people agree with you,
wrongly. The other choice is that you will hear no sound, and make no
sound with your voice, for the rest of your life. So, will it be the
pain of your victims you will feel, or no voice and sounds heard? I
should tell you, that would be a LOT of pain. You would be made to live
alone, so that your screams wouldn't disturb your people, and you will
not be allowed to kill yourself, or harm another."
Daren said in my mind, "Wow! What a choice! You have to broadcast
this. Would make some leaders shit all over themselves!" I said,
"Thanks for that smelly picture. Not!" Chuckles. The leader was in
agony of indecision. I said, "Can't decide? Would you like a sample of
the first choice?" He said, "No! I accept the one without the pain!" I
said, "As you wish, it is done." He tried to speak, and no sound came
out. And he heard only silence. His mouth looked like it was screaming,
while he ran into the jungle. One there said, "Will you be showing this
on the television?" I said, "My monitor has requested that, because he
wants to see what other leaders will think of it." Grins. One said,
"Did he have other reasons to do this?" I said, "Actually, he did. His
gang of criminals were attacking places in Malaysia. The government
there, and the government here, were going to stop him, and he knew
that. He was going to use you to help him resist that. I have informed
those governments that the problem is solved, and those who committed
those bad acts have had just consequences applied." One said, "Thank
you! Will you include this talk on the television?" I said with a grin,
"Not at first. Let them think it was just for being a bad leader, until
I do a second show." More grins and laughter. I said, "I see that you
understand. I like that. Please help him to live, with food and
clothing. He will not be able to act in any way that will cause you
harm. You will gain much favor in the eyes of God for that charity, and
he will be assisted in remembering what he has caused and lost, by your
kindness." Nods. I offered them hugs, and they accepted, one by one.
I shifted to CNN, and handed over a crystal. President said, "Wow!
What a choice! This is going to really shake some people up!" I said,
"There is more, for a live show a few days later. In the crystal now."
He read it, and laughed. He said, "I see what you want. I have to love
it!" I said, "You aren't the only one." Chuckles.
They did play the first part of that Philippine action, which caused
a LOT of comment. More, when I refused to discuss it. There was
speculation that some leaders would have some incontinence problems.
And in fact, some leaders did give up their leadership roles, and
started doing things to make amends. And THAT was noticed very much in
the media, too. Then I did a show.
Greg said, "Solomon is with us today in a show that's not limited in
topics. But, there is a lot of interest in his latest published action,
so I'll ask about that, first, after rebroadcasting it now." He did. He
said, "Solomon, a lot of leaders are feeling at least a little nervous
about this, and what it could mean for them." I said, "My monitor at
the time, commented about some needing to er, clean themselves up,
after seeing it, with a little less polite language." Chuckles. I said,
"Sad, isn't it, that some people need to be frightened into doing the
right thing?" He said, "Very. Is that what you intended?" I said, "I
did the action I intended. I was requested to publish it. Er,
strongly." Grins. I said, "Results of that are interesting. I'm not
unhappy about that." He said, "The choice. I have to say, that was VERY
effective in a number aways, with people who viewed it." I said, "I
just did what I thought I should do, then. Unusual, yes. I think it's a
good idea to give people choices. A very important part of life that's
to break, and he spent that time thinking.
Back on air, he said, "There is more to the action than I thought.
Wisdom training. The power of choice, that we don't do wisely enough."
I said, "We alone on Earth, have the power of conscious choice, also
called free will. To often, we don't take that seriously enough, and
the grave responsibilities that come with it." He said, "What causes
that the most?" I said, "The causes of poor choices are mostly
selfishness and mental laziness. There is ego, and from that,
arrogance, involved, too, and there are usually sins involved. In that
action, he had committed many sins. In what was broadcast today, isn't
what actually caused him to decide to do what he did." He said, "Oh!
There was more?" I said, "We had a little discussion after that. Want
me to show it?" He said, "Please?" I said, "On the monitor." I used the
broadcast link.
He said, "That charity part. You used it in Somalia, but a little
differently." I said, "Adjusted for cultural differences." He said,
"Another example of how much thought you put into what you do." I said,
"Always. I do NOT EVER want to disappoint my Boss." He said, "God. I
can understand that! So, he was a criminal, and raiding another
country. He was going to use his people to help him to defend himself."
I said, "And, as an alternate thing, hostages. Very often, almost
always, one bad choice leads to more bad choices, and a lot of that is
for trying to avoid unpleasant consequences. He could have caused war,
with what he did." He said, "Is that why you acted?" I said, "No, I
acted for what he was doing with his people, but everything has causes,
so that was part of it as well, but not the actual cause of my action
at that moment." He said, "If war had started because of it, would you
have stopped it?" I said, "No, that would be political. But I could
have talked with both sides to explain what happened and why, so they
could have a better understanding that could assist in resolving the
conflict."
He said, "I see. You must be very careful with what you do, so you
don't unduly influence societies as an outsider." I said, "Yes. There
is another issue in the action that has been overlooked, regarding
international law. Got it?" He thought, and then looked surprised, and
said, "Got it! If he had succeeded in making his island independent,
Malaysia, as the attacked nation, could have declared war with them,
legally, and taken them over, or wiped them out." I said, "And that
never occurred to him. A REALLY bad choice he was making. With him, his
people were caught in a no-win situation. Now you see why I HAD to
act." He said, "I DO, much more than before!"
He said, "Because of the first broadcast of this action, some leaders
have changed what they were doing. Did you intend that?" I said, "I
didn't intend how I broadcasted that action to deliberately cause other
leaders to change what they were doing. I didn't know what any of them
would do or not do because of it. But I DID intend for all who saw it,
to learn good things from it, as always. That's why we do the
broadcasts. I'm a teacher. People who are only entertained by viewing
my broadcast actions, are NOT who I'm interested in seeing them." He
said, "But our discussions?" I said with a smile, "That's different.
Some entertainment is helpful even in the most serious of discussions.
If people watch for that, well, the other parts are still there they
can benefit from. And remember, I have my own group to entertain as
well. And there is Hawk. Oh, now there he goes." He laughed. We went to
break.
Back from break, he said, "Still, some leaders have changed what they
do, because of your action. I said, "I've seen that. I have to say,
they have changed for the better." He said, "And if they change back to
how they were before?" I said, "That would be unfortunate. Most of
their people like the change. Reversing that, could cause them to work
for a change in leadership that wouldn't do that. And I would be very
displeased if they er, regressed." He said, "Others who you think
should change, who haven't, should they consider it?" I said with a
smile, "I think most of those leaders you have in mind, HAVE considered
it. Some might even be wondering if I will do anything about that. I
hope they keep wondering. And a little more." He grinned and said, "I
anticipate some future discussions about that."
He said, "Do you have any other actions you could share with us?" I
said, "Thousands, but most wouldn't make much sense to you, for being
with aliens. How about one from the circus?" He said, "We've been asked
about that a lot. Please show us!" I said, "I went back there recently,
not for an action, but for ME." I played the new act recording. After
that, he said, "You were enthusiastic." I said, "I was. I LOVED being
in the circus! One of the best experiences in all my lives." He said,
cleared his throat. I said, "But I've done some some things like in a
circus." He said, "What was that?" I said, "Galagos wanted to see more
of me for his art, than I usually show in public. Oh, are you actually
embarrassed?" He said, "Go on!" I said while I was grinning, "So we set
up to do some gymnastics and diving in my father's planet's sports
complex, so he could see my muscles in action, not the other thing in
action, that you were probably thinking of." He wanted to go to break,
but the control room wouldn't do it.
I said, "Want to see? Oh, the sports." He said, almost in
desperation, "Please!" I showed some of the gymnastics, and we went to
break, and then the diving. After that, I said, "No special abilities.
All just body and training. I changed the faces of the other people
there, for their privacy. After the diving, we all had a big pool
party." He said, "You didn't show that." I said, "Aliens don't wear
clothes in the pool. They think it's stupid that Earth people do. Well,
there, we don't, either. WE aren't stupid. So, it wouldn't work well on
television here. I refuse to do video surgery to remove from the images
what all know is there. That's even more stupid than wearing clothes in
the pool. In fact, there is a VERY important alien action that I SHOULD
show you, because it involves our past and our future, but won't,
because they didn't wear clothes when they hugged me. You know what I
mean by that. Do you have the courage to say it?" He nodded and said,
"The love in your hugs is so strong, some people become aroused in it."
I said, "And irrespective of gender and orientation, and in my father's
hugs, too. All in CNN here know something of that. We've hugged a lot."
He said, "Thank you Solomon, for being with us tonight." I said, "Been
more interesting than you expected." My big grin was the last that went
out on the show.
Control room crew came into the studio, laughing. Greg wasn't even
smiling. I said, "You brought my wife into it. All knew you meant it
sexually. So, I went with it. Was that a problem?" He sighed, and said,
"Right. I should have known." Producer said, "Yes you should have, but
don't. Much better ratings." I said, "In fact, don't a lot of people
watch these things specifically to see me play with the hosts?" He
said, "They do, and tell us that." I said, "Past victims, too." He
said, "Some tell us that, too, and some without perfect politeness." I
said, "Some of you should have figured out that, within my standards
and goals, I play for the ratings as much as I can. What teacher
wouldn't want to reach the most people possible?" Producer grinned and
nodded. Greg said, "Oh!"
I offered hugs, and all accepted, some with interesting expressions.
The next day, the president of CNN asked to see me. We grinned, by way
of greeting. He said, "I heard about the after show discussion. No
arguments at all. Now about that important to us alien action you
mentioned." I said, "Yes?" He said, "You won't discuss it?" I said,
"It's complicated, and needs a foundation of history, to make what I
did significant beyond what the action shows. The Van did very bad
things to us for thousands of years, including to my father. When he
could, my father put all the Van back on their planet, and blockaded
it. They were unable to reproduce. They no longer exist now, a thousand
years ahead of schedule, after I er, visited them." He said, "Wow!" I
said, "More than that, actually, and it's not what you're thinking.
REALLY surprised all my people. Made Mom cry at my thoughtfulness and
compassion. Telling you more, will ruin for you the impact of my
presentation, like telling you before the story of Chi, her king became
the First Emperor of China." He said, incredulously, "You don't want to
tell me now, for ME?" I said, "Yes." He said, "I see what your mother
felt. Wow!"
I waited for him, and he said, "Alright, I agree to do it your way,
sight unseen." I said, "With the background, and all shown, it could
take two hours with commercials. Possible objectionable nudity would
only be near the end of one action, and from the waist up while
sitting, and then full during the hugs, but I could manage the shots to
mostly not show erections. This show is very important for a number of
reasons. It could help explain why I can't help people here as much as
they want. And people can see me try not to show how stupendously
surprised I was, with what happened." He grinned, and said, "I HAVE to
see that." I said, "I know." Chuckles.
