Solomon's Private File #148
These stories about Stephen and Solomon take place starting in
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 20 in this story, in the Winter of 2046-2047.

I ported to the leader of the attacking star association in the other
dimension. Other people were with her. I made them leave. I said, "Your
fleet you sent to attack another star association is returning. Your
murders are NOT appreciated." She said, "I understand. We were foolish.
Desperation causes that. You helped them. Will you help us?" I said,
"Tell me about the trouble." She said, "We have been unable to learn
why they are attacking our member worlds. They don't communicate with
us, and we have been unable to secure any of their people to question,
even when we send ships to visit what we think may be their worlds." I
said, "One of their worlds was made uninhabitable by an out of system
planetoid. Another species was made almost extinct by a pathogen and
self inflicted environmental damage. In both cases, the association
leaders were unable to identify the cause. This has caused their
association to believe they were being attacked, and that your
association was the suspected attacker." She said, "We did not do
that!" I said, "True, but their truth is different, and will be very
difficult to correct." She said, "Will you give us weapons we can use
to defend ourselves?" I said, "Absolutely NOT! You have shown
yourselves to be completely irresponsible, in their employment against
innocent people. You should have asked them for help, and not murdered
them."
She said, "I understand. Do you know how their weapons operate?" I
said, "I do, and if they do not cooperate with me, I will remove all of
them. What will you do then?" She said, "We will help our attacked
planets, and then demand from the attackers, compensation." I said,
you will remove all our weapons." I said, "And there will be personal
suffering for those who order that." She felt fear. I said,
"Desperation provides some mitigation, not so punishment or revenge."
She said, "I understand." I said, "I go now to speak with them. Your
feeling is correct. You really wouldn't want to be them." She almost
smiled.
Sue and I took our ship to near a solar system under attack. They
were using space disruptors. What they used them on were twisted all
over and partially disintegrated. Special large ships were using them
on the world, and it was mostly in ruins, with billions dead. I ported
to the bridge of the the Fleet Admiral's ship. All kinds of alarms went
off. I said to nobody in peculiar, "I'm not sure I like your choice in
music." The helmsman repressed a chuckle. A security guard shot at me.
It was a limited plasma weapon. I directed the visible energy around me
in pretty patterns. I said, "Your art is a little better, but a little
too energetic." The humor appreciator covered his mouth, to stop his
mirth being noticed. I took the weapon with an invisible 4th hand, and
held it in the air, pointed upward. More guards came in, and then the
Captain. I said to her, "I suggest you tell your people not to fire
their weapons, or some of your own people could be injured when the
force they project refuses to harm me." The helmsman told her what
happened. She told them not to fire.
She said, "Who are you?" I said, "I am Solomon. Why are you attacking
the people of this planet?" She said, "Your planet attacked our
planets." I said, "Why do you say things that you have no knowledge
of?" She stared at me. She said, "What do you mean?" I said, "I am not
of this planet. I've never been on it, or met any of its people." She
said, "You said things. What of the other thing?" I said, "You will
answer my question. Why do you say things you have no knowledge of?"
She said, "This is MY ship, and you will do as I command." I said, "You
are again doing it. You state things that are not true. Wherever I am,
it is mine, and I command." She said, "Without weapons, take him!" Her
guards tried to move. One said, "Sir, I am unable to move. There is
some force that is preventing me." She said to the guards, "Use
weapons!" They vanished. I said, "There are now no mobile weapons on
this ship." She said to the helmsman, "Engage self destruct!" He
reported, "Sir, that control is not responding." I said to her, "Do you
still maintain that you command this ship?" She tried to leave. I said,
"Answer my questions." She struggled and finally gave in. She said, "I
assumed." I said, "Why did you assume, when you could have asked for
the information you didn't have, first? Do you care so little about
being correct, that you need to be wrong and destructively foolish?"
She said, "I don't know." I said, "Do you consider that kind of
attitude and behavior to be sane and responsible? If you don't answer
voluntarily, I will compel you to tell the truth, and that will last
your lifetime." She said, "You are correct. That was irresponsible." I
said, "This seems to be a habit with your people. And is the cause of
this war. They did not attack any world, anywhere. No world in this
association has attacked any of your worlds."
I said, "One of your words was destroyed by a collision with
planetoid they failed to notice in time, caused by entirely natural
events, millions of years in the making. On another of your planets,
they damaged their own environment irresponsibly, and caused the
mutation of one of their diseases which almost caused their species'
extinction. Yet your people, in some strange mental laziness, didn't
bother to do any research on those events, and instead assumed what
they wanted to be true, to satisfy their need for somebody not their
own to blame it on, and as justification to seek murderous revenge. And
so here you are, doing just that. Does this make you feel good, and
proud of yourself, to murder billions of people for something that they
didn't do? Do you so enjoy the suffering and death of innocent
children, that you would do this so easily?"
Her expression was one of horror. She said, "How do you know of these
things?" I said, "First I should tell you I am unable to lie, or to
kill. How I know is because I looked. I can see anything in the past I
wish to, in any dimension. I can see how all this started." She said,
"How can I know this is true?" I said, "Even those who are marginally
intelligent, would know how to do that. Try." She was insulted, but
aware it was justified. She said, "My first year at the academy." She
named a date and time. I said, "I will project images. Are you SURE you
want the people here to see what you were doing then?" She said,
"Wait!" I said, "I have to admire your energy, if not your technique.
It was what he wanted?" She said, "Yes! Please don't! I believe you
now." I said, "Let this be a lesson you didn't learn at that time. If
you have to be not true to yourself to please another, that person is
not worth your sacrifice." She looked really strange, and said, "You
are wise."
I said, "Admiral! You've been watching this. Comments?" He said, He
said, "Are you of the star association we are attacking?" I said, "No,
and they did not know I knew of this, and did not ask for my help." He
said, "We must follow orders." I said, "All the ships in your fleet
have been seeing this, too, and so have your superiors in your star
association, all in real time." He said, "That's impossible!" I said,
"They thought so, too, in the beginning. I can make you stop, but it
would be better that you do it voluntarily. Chairman, what do you have
to say to this?" I made an image of his crowded office, and he could be
seen saying, "We don't believe you have the power to stop us." I said,
"Noted. Do you choose to stop?" He said, "No." I said, "Then I will
make you stop. I'm shutting down all the fusion generators in all of
your attacking ships in this star association. I have transferred all
those ships into orbit around the planet you are on. All the weapons on
these ships are now gone. All the weapons on all your other ships
anywhere in the galaxy, are also gone. You should be getting
interesting messages from your newly localized ships. I am unable to
lie. I DO have the power to enforce my will. You are irresponsible
immature violent children, who should not be allowed to have such
dangerous toys."
All in that office were experiencing a lot of different strong
emotions. I said, "On your desk is a file that shows what happened to
your two planets. Now we come to consequences. You have committed
murder. What is the the punishment for that crime on your planet?" He
wouldn't say. One said, "Mind wipe!" I said, "I won't do that. There is
no suffering in it. Choose another." Horrified silence. I said, "You
should have listened to your Guardians. Those who ordered this will
feel the suffering of those they harmed, to the limit of their ability
to live through it, five minutes every hour for the rest of their
lives, and will not be allowed to kill themselves. Others who will be
near them at those times should invest in good hearing protection. It
will now begin." There were a lot of people screaming at the top of
their lungs for a very long five minutes. After that, stunned silence.
I said, "All of this could have been avoided if you had not assumed
what wasn't true, and had acted responsibly. All your member planets
have received recordings of this entire action. I recommend that your
species not be allowed to serve in the government of your star
association for five generations. I hope you learn from this. I'll be
watching. The star association you falsely attacked, now needs help. If
they ask, I suggest you do the right thing. No, they shouldn't seek
vengeance. I told them not to, before I came to you. Yes, they had
reasons to believe me, in a way that was not amusing to them." They had
some relief. I said, "Before I go now to heal their people and repair
their planets, do any of you have questions?" One said, "Are you God?"
I said, "I'm not God, but I am His Senior Agent. I was not asked for
this er, position, but I could not refuse, no matter the pain it causes
me. In order to administer the consequence, I have to feel it myself."
Some yelled, "No, don't!" And with tears. I said, "I do what is
required of me. More questions?" One said, "How can we contact you?" I
said, "You can't. I do what is needed, and that isn't aways my
decision. Or yours. I go now. Be well."
I ported to the office of the leader of the mistakenly attacked
association of worlds. She was startled. I said, "Their attack is
stopped. I had to make it happen, and administer consequences. They
won't be attacking anybody anytime soon." She said, "Would you tell us
what happened?" I said, "No, but this will work only for you. It's a
memory crystal. You put it to near your brain, and you will know what's
in it, instantly." She did that, and said, "No! You shouldn't have!" I
said, "I have less choice in these things than you have. Be grateful
that it didn't happen to you and your people. Act in a way again that
could cause it, there will be no excuses. I go now to heal your people
and repair your worlds."
And that's what I did. It took a long time in real and subjective
experience. Sue was with me, and helped me a lot. Despite her almost
constant tears. Elise, George, and Daren, helped in some of the time
adjusted work, for the practice. Back home, we reported. There were a
lot of wows. I said, "We needed the practice. We learned a lot. We can
do this better and more efficiently the next time. And on Earth."
Ivanna said, "That disruptor is nasty." I said, "In a way, it's not as
bad as some other things. Leaves more for salvage in space. Really bad
on people, though." Daren said, "Will they ever learn to use those
disruptor effects for good purposes?" I said, "Not for a while.
Destruction is a lot easier, and doesn't require full knowledge of how
it works. And they still cling to assumptions. They assume that's all
it does." Mom said, "The species that runs that group should be
replaced." I said, "Their Guardians agree. Oh, right. That wasn't in
the report." Pokes, and then hugs and kisses with love.
I ported to visit the animal plant. She said, "Major work." I said,
"And major tired." She said, "I didn't think they would resist you so
much." I said, "It's difficult to predict what the mentally er,
off-center will do, in those situations. No, a healing wouldn't have
helped them with that. Their brains worked. Their culture was at
fault." She said, "It causes me to wonder how my own people will be
like when they mature." I said with some amusement, "Well, they won't
travel far." We shared that, and love.
