Stephen's Secure Blog #420
These stories about Stephen began was when he was 10 years old, and
moving to a new part of the country to attend a special school for
gifted students, in the 1950's. This was from a time before computers
would fit on a desk, and when people communicated with friends in other
countries by actual letters sent through the postal service. He wrote
225 of them to a friend. He stopped writing to his penpal, but found he
still wanted to record his life, in case he lost his memory again, and
wrote 30 entries in his first logbook. Then he wrote to an artificial
intelligence called Geenee, in the master computer in his school for
gifted students, which he started attending in 2016. Now it's after
2018, and he's continuing to save his memories in a secure blog.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stephen is 22 in this story, in Summer of year 12 of his special school.

I was at Zander's school, and we were discussing the Nagindra
problem, and I said, "I think it's time for another squirting corpse."
They grinned their faces almost in half. I said "You don't have to be
so sad about it." They laughed. I chose a really bad commander in one
of the military offices, who was a hidden Adept. Hidden from regular
people, but not from the other Adepts. I entered the outer offices as a
rotting corpse, with the tatters of a soldier's uniform around my
shoulders. He had been executed because he was accused of saying
something bad about about the Supreme Authority, which he hadn't. The
Commander in question had authorized the execution without an
investigation. The people in the office, who weren't armed, backed way
from me in horror. Some started screaming. I shouted, "Where is he! I
was innocent, and he didn't care!" The commander heard that through his
door, and ducked behind his desk before I entered his office. Some
brave office people moved to watch what was happening through the then
open door. I went around the desk, and he tried to kill me with psychic
force and fire, showing all who could see that he was an Adept. I
deflected it. I reached down and pulled him up with a strength he
couldn't resist, and said, "I was innocent, and you didn't care! You
had me killed for CONVENIENCE! Now I kill a part of you!" I pushed his
head down to my erect penis, and it squirted in his face. He screamed,
and I let him collapse to the floor. He yelled, "My psionics! All
gone!" Then I bent down and hugged him, face to face, in a grip he
couldn't break, and I left the body. He screamed hysterically,
struggling to get free from the rotting corpse who was grimacing in his
face, almost kissing him. He screamed for a long time, and nobody went
in to help him.
We resumed the meeting, and there were a lot of wows being expressed.
Zander said, "A much bigger audience this time. Lasted longer, too. It
is sure to be well publicized before that can be stopped. As you
obviously intended." I said "Absolutely! I can't pass memory cards
around to do that, or they will suspect me. So I did it this way. They
are contacting others, and that will rapidly spread it all over the
planet. Some members of the Supreme Authority have been informed. They
are not looking totally courageous at the moment." Some giggles. I said
"The Commander is still screaming and moaning, and is noticing that he
is really stinking. He still can't remove himself from the embrace of
the corpse. Oh, he himself, in fright and terror, has just
significantly added to the bad smells. I sure wouldn't want to go into
that office now!" More giggles. I said "You might consider working
toward formulating plans for improving the government and society.
Creating and animating dead people is NOT fun for me, nor is
terrorizing people with them. I hope soon, I won't have to do that
anymore." I stood, and offered to hug them. I did, including Zander.
Then I ported away.
I sent an image to the home of the Minister of the Military. I said
"Greetings, Sanamhee. Is it permissible for me visit this way for a
while?" He said, jumping to his feet, "Master Adept! Yes, I would be
honored." I said "I am Stephen. Whenever I hear one of my titles
directed at me, I have to suppress the urge to look behind me and see
who they're addressing." He laughed. I said "Please excuse the use of
an image, but the sudden appearance of my life sign and aura would be
VERY noticeable to the very people who should not be made aware of this
visit, for your safety." He said, "Yes. So you know." I said "Unfair,
isn't it." We sat, and he said, "Yes! But I have a feeling you will say
that I have caused much unfairness to others, and that my current
situation is not nearly enough punishment for that, and you would be
correct." I said "Almost. We all suffer the consequences of our
actions, good or bad, sooner or later. Without them, we could not
progress as sentient beings are supposed to do. And that continues
after physical death." He said "We try not to believe that, but for
some of us, unsuccessfully. There was another corpse attack. This time
on a hidden Adept, who is no longer hidden, or an Adept. Some think you
did it, but some think, because it started long before we er,
encountered you, that there is some other cause. I have no opinion on
that, because it doesn't make any difference. Only the result matters.
I told them that if you really wanted us to change, it would already
have happened."
I said "Well reasoned, but for one thing. I really DO want you to
change. You are thinking, then why haven't I? Well, I don't rule. I
value free will too much to do that. I can show the way, and provide
some motivation, but I can't actually make you into different people. I
mean, I am able to do it, in skill and power, but not in will. Only
your own people should be permitted to change you, if possible. You
rule yourselves, not me, and I will not allow any other species to
interfere with that." He said "You will protect us?" I said "That's not
the same thing. If you attack another species, and they fight back, I
should not interfere with that just consequence, even if that means
your extinction." He said "I had not thought to extend just fairness to
such an extreme. Wow!" I said "Absolutely. Individuals, societies,
species, need to learn, and sometimes that is so hard, they don't
survive. Those that do, will be all the better for it, and will
continue to evolve, until they can become one with God."
He said "Such as you?" I said "Me, as an individual, yes, but caused
by strange circumstances. I was created, or my spirit was, as a tool of
God, 74,000 years ago, to save the human race from extinction, and do
other things like that, in succeeding years. I've always been very
close to him, although I rarely knew that. Now I'm being called to join
Him, and the pull is becoming ever harder to resist. In a few years I
will be gone from this life. I am not the first of these, well, special
avatars. One species seeded this galaxy with life, and helped manage
its evolution, by His order and direction. I have seen their work, but
not directly who they are, but they are no longer present in this
galaxy. There is only one of us at a time. They left when I came into
my power. You can say it now." He said "Wow!" I said "I say that
myself, more often than you might think." He grinned, and said, "Your
humor. It's unusual for such a powerful person." I said "ALL my
students have humor, sometimes a little more than I like, when I'm the
target of it, and love. It's part of who we are, and such as who you
are at your level, can't progress without them." He said "Can you teach
me?" I said "If you were a child, before you had molded your mind into
such as it is now, you would now, if you had been one of my students,
be almost equal to Rose. Unfortunately, there are some things in you
which are holding you back, that can't be changed. The Atlana Adepts
were like that, but not quite as bad, because they were in secret like
almost all Adepts are, and didn't rule. We now have a school on their
major planet, and the students in it are progressing very well, and
will soon surpass the Atlana Adept who is supervising the school."
He said "If we don't kill our potential Adept children, and instead
enabled you to take them away to one of your schools, would you do
that, and teach them to be like you and Rose?" I said "Not like us, but
like who they should be at their realized full potential, which by
necessity, includes our love and ethics, yes. If you are thinking about
why we haven't already done that, do you really think so little of me
and us?" He said a silent wow. I said "We will not say that we have
done such a thing, because you might be questioned, and you might want
to lie about it, and we do NOT support lies, and the damage they cause
to the mind." He cried, in full sobs, and muttered, "You trust me!" I
said "So you can trust yourself." He cried some more. He said, when he
could, "When will they come home?" I said "All things will happen in
their proper time, and that is not my decision." Then he sat up
straighter in surprise, and said, "The other species in our Empire! You
said Adepts are in secret. I have to assume they have some. You leave
nothing to chance, and you're fair. You're teaching their children!" I
said "I'm not going to say yes or no to that, but you do think well."
He had to smile. I said "I think I should remind you that all our
students of ALL species are without prejudice and hate, and are fair
and have love. And love to embarrass me whenever they can." He laughed.
I said "Because of your supposed failure of your mission, and because
you've changed, you are not approved of now. But if you show you have
I have EVER seen a more interested person in this life!" He laughed
really well. I said "First, projection. You already have that ability.
Form an image in your mind. Make it very clear. Then push it out of
your mind into the air in front of you." He concentrated, and an image
appeared, wavering a little, of a woman. After a few seconds, it
vanished. I said, "That's VERY good. Actually the best I've seen from
somebody at your level." He didn't look displeased at that. He said "It
was my mother." I said "After practice in all phases of that process,
it will become easier, and the result better, and longer lasting. It's
just an illusion, and not visible to a camera, though. When you learn
to include your own modified energy in it, well, that makes it more
real. You can also then fix images to an object. All that, any Adept
can learn. If they think of it."
I said "I see the question. I know these things, and much more,
because in my last life, and in this one, I'm a scientist, among other
less savory designations. I know, and with full mathematics, how our
abilities work, and that includes our teleporting." He said "But how
did you make the trees?" I said "Simple in theory, but fantastically
difficult in practice. I teleported each atom into its proper place,
practically all at once." He said "Wow!" I said "Right. I'm our best
artist, so I've had a lot of practice. I think you have a lot of things
you can tell your fellows now, to help make them respect you again, but
I suggest you wait a few days so you can practice what you've learned.
Try to control your emotions around them as much as you can, or they
can betray you." He said "Yes, I'll have to. It won't be easy!" I said,
"Nothing really worth doing, is hardly ever easy. Would you mind if I
watch? Not to violate your privacy, but to violate theirs, with the
justification that they are harming people, to see how effective your
efforts are with them." He said "I almost said no, but then I found
myself liking that idea that you would be there. I know you won't
protect me, because that would alert them to your presence, which you
don't want." I said "That's true, it could. I don't know if you can
saw my tears, and said softly, "I'm beginning to, and I'm very sorry."
I said "So you can say it if you have to, demand that I leave." He
grinned, and said, "I demand that you leave!" We stood and bowed, and I
stopped the image.
Almost a week later, at a meeting of the Supreme Authority, he sad,
"I have something different to report. I've been thinking about my
experience with Stephen, and trying to understand and duplicate what he
did." He paused, and the impatient Leader, said, "Well, what have you
learned?" He said "I hesitate, because by the way I've been treated
since I returned, I didn't think you would be interested in learning
anything about the encounter." The Leader reviewed in his mind how
Sanamhee had been shunned, and said, "I see. That should not be the
case. Your close experience is valuable, and more if you can learn from
it and share with us. It's VERY important that we learn about and from
the most powerful enemy we will ever encounter. We should have trusted
to our military leader to see that. What have you learned?" Sanamhee
said, "The images were my first success. May I demonstrate?" At the
nod, he projected an image of a rifle into the room over the conference
table. And turned it around, to show it was three dimensional. After a
minute, it vanished, and Sanamhee looked very tired. He said "It takes
intense concentration, and a high degree of visualization. What I've
learned to do so far is an illusion, and can't be seen by cameras, but
I have an idea that I'll be working on, which might do that." The
Leader said "What is that idea?" He said "I plan to try, after a lot
more practice, to include some different psionic energies in the image.
There is something else I should tell you. I don't think it's a special
talent. I think all Adepts can do it, after some practice, because I
don't think I'm any better than you, except for having some motivation,
and er, time, to experiment." The leader cleared his throat, and said,
trying to hide his embarrassment, "I hope you can devote some more time
to your studies, during your active supervision of our military. Please
prepare a report of your efforts so far, and more when you have learned
more knew things." Sanamhee said, "Thank you, Supreme Leader, I will."
That evening, I sent an image to Sanamhee's house, and said, "May I
visit?" He said, with a big grin, "PLEASE! I was hoping you would." I
said "Well, so was I. You did extremely well! So much so, they may
never doubt you again. Well, until the next time." He laughed very
well. I said "What will you do, if one of your fellows wants to visit
you at home, and learn from and with you?" He was surprised, and then
thoughtful, and then surprised. I said "It's called the Situation
Manager ability." He laughed really hard. When he could, he said, "You
don't lie. They didn't see that ALL you said was true. It's true we
aren't suited for administration. I want to learn and practice these
new things so much, I hardly care about my real job. You suspect that
at least one other of the Authority, and maybe more, will feel the
same. It will change us, but WE will be doing it. A truly MASTERFUL
plan!" I said "That could only succeed because of the qualities YOU
down the line. Interesting, isn't it." He looked thunderstruck, and
said, "Wow! I see something else. Those who can't change, the worst of
us, fall prey to the corpses!" I said "I did notice that. The dirty
cleanup squad." He laughed hard. Then he said, "This plan with me, how
long have you had it?" I said "Will I lose your respect if I tell you
that I don't actually plan much anymore? I just do what I know I should
do, with an awareness of what will happen because of it. This wouldn't
have happened if we and not met in the fleet, and I couldn't plan for
that, or how you would react. But you did in a way I could do some
things with, and you responded well to those, and so on. A good
Situation Manager plans for all outcomes to be good, and is prepared to
take advantage of anything that happens. Thinking ahead is a VERY good
thing, and can save your life many times. I'm not so bad at that." He
grinned, and said, "And at making severe understatements." I said "Yes,
I'm known for that, too."
I said "And now let us explore psionic energy management and
control." We did that, and he was almost continuously amazed. After
that, I said, "All these things a basic Adept can learn. I suggest you
take your time in showing them to others, until you are well practiced,
and to extend your value to them as much as you can. Later, we can
discuss some practical uses for those techniques." He said "This can
become an addiction!" I said "And I, and all my students, have it, so
you will be in, I hope, good company. I should tell you something. Each
of us is monitored while on a mission. What I do here, my associates
will know, and will be able to carry on for me, if I become
unavailable. Well, I do a lot of other work. And sex." He grinned. I
said "One more thing, which I think more of than you might. Rose
approves of you." He had some tears. I bowed, and wrapped him with my
love, completely astounding him, and said farewell, and left.
Rose said, "We WILL protect him." I said "Yes, but as little and as
"Nope. I didn't do a thing, but he did see more of me inside of him
than he ever thought possible. That could have contributed. Anyway,
what looks like luck around me, probably isn't. But we can't depend on
it. WE have to have and use our free will, too." Hawk said, musingly,
"Free will, is the most expensive thing there is." We stared at him,
and then we pushed our love and appreciation at him, making him very
embarrassed, but pleased.
