Stephen's Secure Blog #402
These stories about Stephen began was when he was 10 years old, and
moving to a new part of the country to attend a special school for
gifted students, in the 1950's. This was from a time before computers
would fit on a desk, and when people communicated with friends in other
countries by actual letters sent through the postal service. He wrote
225 of them to a friend. He stopped writing to his penpal, but found he
still wanted to record his life, in case he lost his memory again, and
wrote 30 entries in his first logbook. Then he wrote to an artificial
intelligence called Geenee, in the master computer in his school for
gifted students, which he started attending in 2016. Now it's after
2018, and he's continuing to save his memories in a secure blog.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stephen is 20 in this story, in Winter of year 11 of his special school.
Stephen's Secure Blog #402 "CNN Macroeconomics"
START Page
The January 1st love and healing broadcast went as usual in results,
but was unusual in application. Rose and I did it together. We didn't
tell the public in advance, but it was noticed. That was the first
thing Don asked about in the usual CNN interview. He said "People have
reported that this love broadcast was different. They felt that
something was added. I have to admit I know what it is. I've felt
Rose's love in hugs, and that was in the broadcast. Could you comment
on that?" I said "I decided to invite Rose to add her love to mine in
the broadcast, because she knows how wonderful it is to share love, and
I didn't want to deny her that experience. And as a scientist, I have
to admit I was curious how the experiment would turn out, and what the
response to it would be. I haven't heard any complaints so far." Don
said "I'm sure not complaining!"
He said "I have to report that terrorism of all kinds, and not just
bombings, has reduced, and that people are resolving political
differences with less violence. Do you think that some of that is due
to your efforts?" I said "People are healthier in mind and body now.
Saner. I think I have helped a little in showing them that people CAN
work out their differences without having to kill each other. That they
are succeeding is due to THEIR work, not mine, and I'm very happy and
proud of them for that. I give them love, not requiring anything to
come of that, but because I love them. That they are now giving me more
of a reason to love them, is priceless to me. I don't think that's a
bad thing." He said "Right!"
Don said, "The buildings you made for your wedding are still
standing. I thought you were going to remove them after the wedding." I
said "I thought I was going to remove them, too. The Tribal Council
strongly requested I let them stay. I agreed to that, if it doesn't
cause trouble." He said "Does this mean you will make similar things
for the rest of the country?" I said "Sorry, no. This doesn't mean I
will make buildings like that all over. The situation with my wedding
buildings is similar to why I only did that in Tibet before. They view
my works as something like sacred to them, and will not let them to be
interfered with, which wouldn't be the case in the rest of the country
or world." He said "Disappointing." I said "In a way, yes. In another
way, no. I wouldn't be opposed to making a few things in different
places, but I wouldn't want to spend all my time doing it, and because
it would ruin the economy. The very skilled people who build our homes,
factories and offices, and other constructions, are a very important
resource for the world, and so are those who help make and supply the
products they build with. We should support them, who support us and
how we live." He said "I never realized just how all interconnected we
are, economically and as people, until you started explaining these
things to us. Thank you very much! Let's go to break."
I said in the break, "It's even more involved than that. Look around
you. How much of all we see is made in all different parts of the
world? And that's not all. How did they get here, and who made that
happen along the way?" He said "PLEASE say that when we come back!" I
nodded, and did just that, when we were back on air. I continued that
with, "Any link in those long supply chains that breaks, breaks at
least a part of the whole system. Say there is a flood in a city where
most of one product is made, so the factory can't make any of them for
a most of a year. The workers don't have jobs. They have to find work
elsewhere, and might not go back to the same factory when it's
repaired. Those other factories which had supplied them parts, have too
large an inventory now, and have to find either more expensive storage,
or another buyer. Those who had transported their finished products,
wholesaled, and retailed them, now have less work. Customers can't have
the products they wanted, and if it was for their businesses, they are
hurting now, too. The economy suffers all down the line, and extends
into other areas, because whose who suffered won't have money to buy
other things, and those lines suffer, too."
He said "Wow!" I said "That's probably not what the flooded factory
owners said." He chuckled. I said "And their insurance companies, who
had to pay out a lot of money, causing them to have to raise their
premiums for all their clients." He said "It never ends!" I said
"Exactly! It never ends because it's a complete interdependent circle.
Thousands of interconnected circles, actually. This means the only good
change in it is the slow gradual change. Even something new that looks
terrific, and could revolutionize the world, can be bad if it tips the
economy over into disarray and ruin." He said "I see now why you're so
cautious in letting your inventions go public."
I said "Yes." He said "You know we're constantly researching you.
Patents. You've had some new patents approved. A very improved battery
system. A better fuel cell system. A new lightweight construction
material. Separately, they are not significant in a major way, but
taken together, they mean new and more efficient and environmentally
cleaner cars, and that is something VERY significant!" I said "Please
send my appreciation to your researchers. Good job putting that all
together so fast." He grinned and said, "Thanks! I'm sure that will
mean a lot to them. Are they new inventions, and do they come from
alien technology?" I said "The battery and fuel cell I invented in my
previous life. It's only now that the state of manufacturing will make
them commercially feasible. The construction material I've been working
on for years in my past life and in this one, but it owes a lot to my
trying to find new materials I can use for sculpting. None of those
things come from alien technology." He said "I think I understand
something more now, and why we can't use alien technology. We can't
actually MAKE it." I said "There is more to that. Even if we actually
could make it, well, would you put somebody who didn't understand how
it works, in charge of a nuclear reactor?" He said "Wow!" I said "More
like, er, BOOM! Or something just as devastating." He said "There's
that. Can I assume that more advanced power sources can make bigger
booms?" I said, "Yes. More advanced power systems DO make bigger booms,
and very unfortunately, have done exactly that, when not understood and
operated well enough. I don't know how many worlds destroyed their
civilizations because of that, but I know it DID happen. I will NOT
allow that to happen here on Earth. NEVER AGAIN!" I had to wipe my
tears. He looked very surprised. I moved my hand in a negative way off
camera, and he sent us to a break.
He said "You wrote the Attin series, and you were her." I said "And
not for the public to know. Not yet." He said "I see. Sorry. I can
guess at least one reason why." We were silent until the break was
over. Don said, "Somebody running for national office asked for your
approval. One that we know of. Have there been any others?" I said "So
far, since I offered my evaluation and approval, only one person has
requested it, and he has it." He said "I think what is most interesting
and significant to us, is that his party is usually not in your er,
favor." I said "Significant for you, but not for me. I didn't ask about
positions, only about the quality of the person and qualifications. You
know I have to be fair." He said "I do. Did you ask about his
religion?" I said "I knew what his religion was. In general, religion
in political candidates isn't significant to me, if it doesn't
interfere with their ability to think, and if it doesn't cause them to
put that ahead of the job they are running for. Would you like an
example of what I mean?" He said "Absolutely!" I said "You know I
expected that." He chuckled. I said "If a legislator wants to introduce
a bill that requires every citizen to pray to Baal seven days a week, I
would be a little cautious about him." He smiled, and said, "I see.
That would be against the constitution, but isn't that a little
extreme?" I said "Actually, that's not as extreme as what's already
been done in this country. But then, I would treat ALL religions the
same in that." He said "Oh! Right. You have to be fair." I said "I
wouldn't mind being a little taller." He laughed.
He said "More about your appearance. We've been asked to ask you some
things about that. You don't look like you've ever needed to shave. Do
you, and if you don't need to, why?" I said "I decided that I didn't
want to have to shave, so before that necessity would have started, I
changed my body so such hair growth as associated with sexual maturity
didn't happen, but so that it wouldn't effect anything else, which
works really well, by the way." He laughed. I said "So, that er,
feature isn't just about my face. I didn't permanently change my
physical body in any way after that, except through exercise and
training." He said "You said physical body. Is there a nonphysical
body?" I said "Not exactly in the words you used, but yes, there is
something like a nonphysical body. Our life energy centers are part of
it, called chakras. When you have the ability to sense and manage your
chakras, you can improve your body and mind, and some can then do some
interesting things. For instance, my students can push some extra life
energy into their brains, effectively doubling their intelligence for
short periods of time." He said "Wow!" I said "We really do say that,
too." He chuckled.
I said "Rose just told me that she didn't know how to do that, and
that my other students didn't either. I told some in my past life, but
it seems they didn't put it into the current curriculum. I gave her the
technique, and the warnings." He said with interest, "What did you warn
about?" I said "Well, if you do it too much, you can damage your brain
and die, or worse, damage your brain and not know you are living." He
said "Wow!" I nodded and said, "There are risks in everything. Even
doing nothing has its risks. Ask anybody who's standing in the middle
of a busy street. But you'd better hurry." He chuckled. He said "I love
you humor, and more, why you use it. I should do the explaining now.
You use your humor to defuse tense and shocking things in your
conversations, so we can think and learn better." I said "I have to
admit it, yes. I'm SO exposed!" He laughed. We went to commercial.
