Stephen's Secure Blog #325
These stories about Stephen began was when he was 10 years old, and
moving to a new part of the country to attend a special school for
gifted students, in the 1950's. This was from a time before computers
would fit on a desk, and when people communicated with friends in other
countries by actual letters sent through the postal service. He wrote
225 of them to a friend. He stopped writing to his penpal, but found he
still wanted to record his life, in case he lost his memory again, and
wrote 30 entries in his first logbook. Then he wrote to an artificial
intelligence called Geenee, in the master computer in his school for
gifted students, which he started attending in 2016. Now it's after
2018, and he's continuing to save his memories in a secure blog.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stephen is 17 in this story, in the Fall of year 8 of his special
school.

It was Saturday evening in Atlanta. We were in a CNN studio, with Don
set to moderate the discussion. I brought with me Tomba, Rhamcha, and
Eli. I introduced them, saying "Abbots Tomba and Rhamcha represent
different traditions of Buddhism. Eli represents Christian
Fundamentalists. All three are my students in mental arts, and are
unable to lie. I haven't discussed what I or they will say here, with
them. I must confess to mixed feelings in speculating about what might
happen, because of that." Some suppressed grins. With us, who
introduced themselves, were the Catholic Priest, the Imam of Islam, and
the Jewish Rabbi from my golf outing, and an Episcopalian Priest, and a
Unitarian Minister. Don said, "Before we start, there might be some
confusion about the proper address for each of our guests. To clear
that up, will each of you please inform us of that, for yourselves?"
They did. I was last.
I said "There is a problem. I've been called a lot of things, some of
which were not polite." Some chuckles. I said "We can't use all of
them, for lack of time. But for me to choose one over another, would
show a preference I do not feel, or want others to assume. If somebody
really intended to get my attention in an emergency, 'Stephen' would
generate the best response. Therefore, that is who I wish to be to you,
and to all." The Catholic Priest said "There is another reason for your
dislike of titles." I said "Oh, so we start!" Some chuckles. I said
"Yes. Labels and titles applied to people are often very imprecise,
verging on the false, promoting unclear thinking, and other mental
abuses. And there is the personal. They tend to separate people, which
I do not want to feel or support. For example, I am often called
Master. I am NOT a master of anybody, except possibly myself." The
Rabbi said "Rabbi means teacher." I said "Yes, and of my titles, I
value that the most, but even that can cause some to believe that we
cannot be students at the same time, which we most definitely are. Just
using my name, causes people to not apply prejudgments, but to consider
me as the unique individual I am, which we all are." I nodded to Don,
who cleared his throat, and tried to take back control.
He said "We are here to address some phone calls and emails we have
received regarding Stephen and his activities, and, well, lack of
activities. We have not shown these communications to our panel prior
to this meeting. Many of these are in the form of complaints. Proposals
of marriage, we will ignore." I grinned and said, "Too late!" Some
laughter. I said "I will be married in late Spring of next year, to ONE
woman. Well, when she sets the date, actually." Some chuckles. The Imam
said, "Lucky woman!" I said "I can only hope she thinks so. For me, I
KNOW I'm the lucky one! Oh, I'm sorry, Don. I keep steering us off
target." He cleared his throat, and said, "The first email is from
Jerry, age 12, in Kansas City. He writes, 'You can do miracles. Why
don't you fix everything?'" I said "Well, Jerry, thanks for writing,
but I have to tell you I don't and can't do miracles. I can do some
unusual things, but they are of science, but of a kind which requires
some special talents and a lot of knowledge and training to learn and
do. Yes, I can do a lot of interesting things, but the one and only
thing which WILL fix everything, is to change the PEOPLE who are
actually causing the things you might want to have fixed, and that I
can't do."
The Unitarian said, "Sharing your love with the world is not a
miracle?" I said "Correct. I have a very powerful mind, and a strong
ability to project my feelings. I could describe how that works, but it
would require a few years of education for that to be usefully
understood. Many people can project their feelings to some degree, even
if they don't realize it. Most people have felt it, even if they didn't
realize it. Such an ability can be used for good or evil. I am of The
Light. I cannot do evil. Adolph Hitler could, and did, with his power
of projection, as those who attended his speeches have reported."
There was a dawn of comprehension among them. I said "I see you are
beginning to understand something of this. Most of the unusual things I
can do, have been done before in history. I'm different because I've
applied modern scientific principles to it." One said "Your
teleporting?" I said "I don't know if others have done that before me,
but what enables it has long been known and used at times. When I
worked out the math for it, well, that opened some new doors, so to
speak." Don said, "In a phone call, Angelina said, 'Is he a Saint? Does
he think he is? Should we worship him?'" I yelled "NO! Er, sorry about
that. No living person should EVER be worshiped! And people get to be
Saints by other people VOTING on that, after they are dead and not
around to defend themselves. I'm not dead yet, and after I die, I don't
want ANYBODY declaring me, by their own personal opinions, that I am or
was anything but ME."
The Catholic laughed. Then he said, "The Vatican has been indicted,
tried, and convicted. We have often been accused of making too many
Saints, some of whom are thought not to have deserved it." All but Don
voiced agreement with that. Tomba said, "Stephen has said that he
remembers his past incarnations. I can verify that he does, and HAS
been reincarnated. Many others know this as well. He has some
popularity with historians and museums. Some of his past lives might
have been as Saints. If so, he knows from personal experience how
worthy they were of that honor." The Catholic said "I have been
authorized by the Vatican to state that we believe some Saints do speak
through Stephen, while Buddhists believe that he was those Saints. The
difference is too fine to be significant. Stephen, in his last life,
and in this one, has given us sufficient proof to accept that, and that
while he is fallible, he does not lie."
Don said "This is unexpected!" The Catholic said, "To take a comment
from Stephen, good." I grinned and said, "I want it back!" They
laughed. The Episcopalian said "This puts a different complexion on
things." I pulled up my sleeve, and examined my skin, causing them to
laugh. I said "Funny you should mention that. I don't do miracles, but
I was a victim of one." He said "Please tell us of it!" I grinned and
said, "Who here didn't know I was going to?" Some laughter. I said "In
my first Earth love broadcast, I was someplace else for a split second.
When I came back, it was with a task, and my appearance was instantly
changed. Until then, I had blond hair and pasty white skin, and didn't
glow involuntarily when I gave my love. After that, I was as you see me
now, and I glow like an overexcited light bulb at the slightest sharing
of my love. Ah. I see some of you remember where that happened to
somebody in the past. This time I was given the command to free Tibet.
Like before, I will not be allowed to live with them." I wiped my
tears.
Don said "OMG writes in an email, 'I don't believe in God. I wanted
you to know that some people don't believe He exists'." I said "But He
believes in YOU." Eli said "Well said!" I said "Er, that was
unexpected." He grinned and said, "Good!" We had to laugh. I said "Some
people might think it's bad not to believe in God. Well, I'll tell you,
it doesn't change His existence any. Not believing the other side of
the moon exists, doesn't change the moon in any way. Things are as they
are, independent of our beliefs. If you are a good person, who cares
about others, and strives to be a better person, then God is with you,
even if you don't think He is." The Rabbi said, "Well said. I have to
agree." I could see some of the others didn't want to agree, but felt
they had to. I tried not to grin, which they noticed.
Don said "Chin Lau wrote, 'Why did you do bad things to my country?'"
I said "I think I should assume his country is China. I wish I could
ask him which bad things he is referring to. Tibet is part of China,
and I'm doing good things there, not bad. If he means I did bad things
to the military in China, that is open to different viewpoints. I
damaged some of their OFFENSIVE weapon systems, that they didn't need,
to convince the leaders that I could do much worse to them, if they
didn't treat their own people better. Now things have changed, and are
changing more, for the better. In ten years, Chin Lau, you might think
differently about what was bad, and what was good, in what I did."
Rhamcha said, "That is correct. We in Tibet were near deliberate
extinction, and the world did very little to stop it. Now we live again
without fear, still a part of China, but free of forced change. Stephen
harmed no one in his work to enable that to happen, and if that is not
a miracle, I don't know what is." They agreed.
Don said "Jose, age 14, from Argentina, writes, 'Why aren't you doing
more to help people?'" I said "I am, Jose. Most of what I do isn't
known to the public. But I'm only one person, and no matter how much I
want to, I can't do more than one person can. Often, I don't have any
time to sleep, I'm so busy. What about yourself, though. How much more
can YOU do to help people? I think you know that if we ALL helped
people, very soon nobody would need help. Why doesn't that happen? Is
it because too many people want others to do the work, while they
themselves do little? Just one hour a week helping others. Imagine how
much difference even that little effort would make in the world, if ALL
eight billion people did it. I really wish we didn't have to just
imagine it, but could see it actually happing. YOU can help. Please
try."
The Catholic said, "There is another reason it NEEDS to be a
collection of individual help." He told the story of Saint Francis and
the Saint he told to stop. Then I told the story of Saint Nicholas,
without naming him, and the bags of coins. The Episcopalian sat up
straighter at that, and I nodded to him. He looked in awe. I said
"Years ago, in East Africa, the American military tried to protect aid
workers from armed warlords who wanted to steal the aid for themselves
and their friends. It was a complete disaster, which resulted in more
misery and death than if they had not helped. Institutional helping can
cause more harm than good. It shouldn't have to be that way, but it is.
Large help from outsiders seldom does good. Even in Tibet, I'm not
doing that. I convinced the Chinese government to free them, but the
people of Tibet are the ones who are making it work, for themselves.
I'm concentrating on the educational system. Well, I would, because I'm
a teacher. We are going to make Tibet the education center for the
whole world, using some of my advanced teaching methods. Oh, did I just
do an advertisement?" Some chuckles.
Don said "I think you did. Still, that was much less than our usual
guests try to do." More chuckles. Don said, "We have received thousands
of requests for you to heal people." I said "Sometimes I can heal minor
things, like cuts, by giving some of my extra energy that science
thinks doesn't exist, to the area of the cut. I only have so much
energy, and if I use too much, I will get sick, and then I couldn't
heal anybody. But in most countries, I wouldn't be allowed to do even
that. I am not a medical doctor, and there are laws against practicing
medicine without a license. If I heal somebody, I could go to prison.
But for the sake of discussion, suppose the government said I could.
WHO would I heal? I could never heal all the people one by one, who
want me to. There would not be the thousands of years it would take to
do that. What would the people who are waiting in multi-kilometer long
lines for that do, when they might die without being healed right away?
The desperate people would all fight with each other to get to the
front of the line, making it impossible for anybody to be healed. So,
trying to do that would actually cause more injuries and death than if
I had not tried to heal. I doubt I could live with what would happen.
If you mean the healing in my love broadcast, well, I didn't do it. I
do have to tell you I would if I could, but it wasn't me. I have
broadcast my love before, in just cities, countries, and the whole
world, without healing happening. That last big one was different. I
felt God's power go through me, and it USED me to reach the people I
gave love to, to heal them."
I said "You might be surprised to know that there is a bad thing in
my love broadcast, and the healing that happened with it. I don't have
any money for people to take from me in their thousands of lawsuits for
what I did, and for what they think I did. Yes, people are suing me in
court for giving them love without them asking me to, and for the
healing without their permission. If it weren't for the many lawyers
who have volunteered to help me defend myself, I would be in prison
right now, and would be forced to never share my love again, and with
that, no possibility of more world wide healing. I know it's difficult
to believe, but there are a lot of selfish people who want to prevent
other people from having all that, on the chance they can take some
money from me. Well, I don't have any. All I earn from my public
appearances and art sales goes directly to charities. So, not only is
helping people in a large way very difficult in itself, there are
people and governments that actually don't want people like me to do
it, and will do what they can to stop it."
Don said "I didn't realize all that!" The Episcopalian said, "We have
long known most of that." The Catholic said, "We, too." The Imam and
the Rabbi glanced at each other, and said, "Yes." The Unitarian said,
"We have been sued for marrying people, by er, Catholics." I couldn't
quite hide my grin at the Catholic's expression. I said "There is a way
around some of those obstacles to giving help. That is to help people,
even large groups of people, in a way so they don't know they are being
helped, and if they did, they wouldn't know who did it. I did it a long
time ago with bags of coins. Now I do it with large charities and big
corporations. Oh, and let me tell you, throwing bags of coins through
open windows can cause quite some excitement in the middle of the
night, when they land on occupied beds." They laughed. I said "That is
NOT what THEY did!" More laughter. I said "I have to say it was
fortunate I was in good shape, so I could run well." More laughter. I
said "I only wish I had better night vision." More laughter. I said
"Often, in eluding the chasers, I would get lost in the unfamiliar
parts of the city at night, and had to wait for dawn to scurry back to
my church." More laughter. I said "My people grew accustomed to my
surly moods after that, which wasn't much different from my usual self,
actually. I was not well liked. I think I've improved a little since
then." Eli said "You sure have!" They agreed.
Don said "One more question. Macy writes, "You built some very nice
things in Tibet. Why don't you do it in other countries?" I said "Macy,
that's a very good question. I can't, because it would be against the
law in most countries. They have strict rules and laws regarding how
things should be built, and they have to have permits and have to be
inspected at each stage in the process. I don't make things that way. I
do it all at once, because, that's the way I have to use my abilities.
And if I did that anyway, they would tear it down for being illegal,
and to try to discover how I did it, which they can't. I WANT to tell
everybody how, but I can't. It will have to wait until people are
smarter, and can understand the kind of science I use. Right now, only
I can understand how I do what I do, and how it all works."
Don said, "Can you explain why they can't understand?" Eli said, "I
can. Could you explain colors and the science of optics to people who
are blind, and have never even heard of vision?" He said "I think I see
where you are going. We can't have a science were we can't know it
exists. This means you have an extra sense, that shows you things you
can build a science on?" Eli said "Exactly. We can perceive the
energies of the body that Stephen mentioned. With training, about 25%
of the population can, to some extent. Unfortunately, those people
seldom become scientists, and science requires predictability and
reliability, which in most, these senses don't provide. One more thing
has caused all this to be ignored, and even shunned. Religion. These
abilities were recognized and used in the old religions, where the only
science was done by the priesthood. Recall Moses and the Egyptian
Priests, in the battle of the staffs turned into snakes, and the other
duels of power. Modern religions called things like that witchcraft,
and burned talented people to death for it, to cause people to switch
to the new religion. Our advancement as a species was severely delayed
because of that. As a Christian Fundamentalist, I feel some horrible
responsibility for that."
Rhamcha went over to Eli and hugged him. Then he said to the group,
"To the Chinese, we were witches they were trying to destroy, not
because of our abilities, which they denied existed, but because we had
a religion. Stephen changed that. He saved us from extinction." I said
"I would not be who I am if Tibet had not existed. Still, I wouldn't
have worked to free them, if I had not been ordered to."
The Imam said "Why?" I said "I learned the hard way in my past lives,
that to meddle with societies usually causes disaster greater than not
doing it. For example, I may have caused the Viet Nam war." Don said
"What!" I said "Not directly, or deliberately. I had a reason to be in
France in my last life, and was involved in something called the War of
Algerian Independence. I visited General De Gaulle in his bedroom one
night, and threatened him with experiencing the agonies of all the
people he had caused to be tortured, every night for the rest of his
life, if he didn't do his best to stop the war, and grant ALL the
colonies their independence. He resisted, because he was afraid he
would lose the power he craved, until I gave him a little sample of
what he would experience. It took him two years, and he lost his
position, but it happened. Then America got involved in the struggle
the French had left behind. I learned my lesson even more, when I
fought in that war myself! It was after I had lost all my special
abilities to an injury. If I had allowed the French to resolve the
conflict fully, America might not have gotten involved in Viet Nam. So,
now you know. But there is more. The people of Tibet had the power to
free themselves, but it would have ruined the world. It was explained
to me when I was given the task. Now, I think the world is at least a
little better than it was before, and getting even better, I hope, to a
very good future. If we all work to help each other make it happen. I
can't do it alone. Nobody can. I think that's a good thing. Doing good
with your friends and neighbors is much better, and I think more fun,
too. Don't you? All of you?" I said that directly to the active camera.
We went to commercial.
Don said "Wow! Yes, I know you hear that a lot." We laughed. He said
"I think it went well. We have time for some final comments after the
break. Stephen, you've said enough. Let the others have a chance to say
something earthshaking." We laughed. We came back live, and Don said,
"Final comments, please." The Catholic said "I think the world might be
shocked to learn as they did today, how difficult it is for the best of
us to be his best, in the world as it is." Episcopalian said "I've
learned a lot I didn't know I should have, today. I think the world,
has, too." The Unitarian said "I plan to learn more about Tibet." The
Imam said "I agree with my compatriots here. I would add that I for
one, want all the love we can have for the entire world." The Rabbi
said, "Yes. With more love, will come more peace. I like peace. It's a
little less exciting than war, but who couldn't use a rest from that?"
We grinned in appreciation. Rhamcha said "I thank the world for
continuing to support Tibet. We still need your help, but soon, we will
give it back even more."
Tomba "I am very fortunate to have known and loved Stephen through
two of his incarnations. I owe all who I am to him, and I don't mind
saying that, at all." Eli said "Being a Christian Fundamentalist
teaching in a Buddhist Monastery, things they used to know but were
lost, is something I would have NEVER have dreamed of before I met
Stephen. I love what I'm doing, and I can't thank him enough for that,
and Tibet, for allowing me to have such a good and rewarding life
there." He and Rhamcha hugged. I said "I might have already said too
much. Well, here's some more. Oh, poor Don is about to faint." Some
laughter. I said "I had planned to do my world love broadcast once a
year during Tibet's Independence Day celebrations on July 4th. Well,
I've been ordered to do it more frequently, so the next one will be on
the evening of January first, at 11PM Tibet time. I don't know if there
will be healing, but my request is in for that, and acknowledged. It's
alright Don, I'm finished." He laughed. He ended the program.
It looked like they still wanted to talk, but were afraid of being
recorded. I said "We are private, and will remain so, unless I announce
otherwise." They relaxed with grins, and we had two more hours of a
very nice discussion. After that, I hugged them with all my love, and
agreed to maintain our friendship, and I gave them some memory cards
with some books they would be interested in. I ported them to where
they wanted to go. Tomba ported himself. Rhamcha and Eli ported out
together. Len had come in during our discussion, and said after they
left, alone with me, "It went well. Better than I expected. Did you
brief them?" I said "Not a bit." He said "Then how?" I said "They are
good people. They appreciate the good of others. Simple as that.
Sometimes you have to trust people, who might then do better because of
that trust." He said, very thoughtfully, "I see. I think." Then he
looked at me with love, and said, "And because you inspire love in
them." I said in his sometimes East European Jewish accent and
mannerisms, "It couldn't hurt." He laughed, coming into my loving hug.
