Well your description of a dead group leaves me scrambling for clues
There are currently several giga bites of nice on topic pictures residing
within the group on astraweb news servers for this group at the present
moment!
It could be your term "dead" relates to your desire for content typ that is
absent within the groups.
Or merle that your newserver Supernews filters out binary posts to non
binary newsgroups.
Others I believe would liken the group somewhat more lively of late than
for some time since! albeit for better or for worse?
