The Adventures of Stevie #225
These stories were told to me by friends and other people. Some of them
are true. Some of them are only partly true. Some of them should have
been true. LOL
My first post about Stevie ("Call me Stephen!") was when he was 12 and
in summer camp and was told by another camper. This was from a time
before computers would fit on a desk and when people communicated with
friends in other countries by actual letters sent through the postal
service. When children did this those friends were called "penpals".
Carlos is Stevie's penpal in Argentina and knows English. This is a
fictional contrivance to enable Stevie to tell us his stories because
he isn't here in person. I think.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Stevie's school is for gifted children who don't fit in regular schools.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stevie is 15 in this story, at the start of year 6 of special school.
The Adventures of Stevie #225 "Can One Really Go Home Again?"
Dear Carlos,
After I got my memories back and found out I wasn't an adept anymore,
and after the conference where I shared my news with the team, I used
the Port-All to go home from the Temple. I walked up the stairs from
the porting room, and into our apartment. The family was there. Zack,
Glena, Marsha, Brandy, and Dan. They were waiting for me, if sitting
around and doing nothing, means anything. I said "Ah, er, hello?" They
mobbed me. After a while of that, I said, "I could really enjoy this
more, if you let me get undressed." Zack said "Right. Then we do this
again, if you don't mind." I yelled behind me as I was running into the
bedroom, "Who, me?" I thought my clothes were going to need some
repairs. I went back out, and the second time around was much better.
Then we sat down. I was between Zack and Glena on the couch, and Dan
and the girls were on the carpet at my feet. They all had a at least
one hand on me. I loved it.
They wanted to know the whole story, so I told them the short
version. "I was captured by some pesky aliens at random, and taken to
their station inside the moon. They picked the wrong guy. They REALLY
did. I woke up and talked with the intelligent machine which held me,
and they switched to my and our side. All the aliens there are in
storage, and I have all their knowledge, and that base is shut down so
they can't use it. I gave the team my new information, and was injured
in porting through some force fields to get back. I had brain damage
and lost my memory, but that was saved just in case. I am mostly
healed, and have all my memory back, but I'm not an adept anymore. That
might come back sometime in the future. Basically, that's it. I'm fine,
and we are fine, and the aliens are in big trouble, and we have a lot
of time to figure out how to give them more trouble with what we've
learned. So, what else is new?"
Dan said "Wow!" We laughed. I said "What do you think of Nigel?" Dan
said "You keep collecting them, I'll keep loving them. I like sharing
my hero with another brother you were a hero to." Glena said "He's
delightful. He told us how he met you. Very colorful." Marsha said
"I'll say!" Brandy said "We get to have a real live outlaw for a
brother. Neat!" Zack said "He's welcome here. More, after we learn what
his name will be." I said "That's right. I forgot about that. I hope
it's as distinctive as Dan's. His real past has to be a family secret,
just like Dan's is, Brandy." She nodded. Glena said "We should be
seeing to supper." I said "I suppose we can sit close some more,
sometime. That's why I chose to come back. I believe in reincarnation,
so I'm not afraid of death, but I didn't want to say goodbye to the
love I knew." We dripped some tears, and then went to make supper
together.
Debbie called and asked to come over. It was alright with the family,
so we asked Tomba to port her to our living room. She undressed in the
girls' room, and ran out and hugged me tightly. We cried, and so did my
family. Then we sat down to eat. I gave her the short version of the
story, too. After we ate, we all went to the living room and had some
light conversation. Then I asked if Debbie and I could be alone in the
den for a private talk. I saw some hesitation and said, "We know the
rules. Besides, it's the wrong time of the month for us to do that,
anyway." Glena said "I'm not doubting you, but how do you know?" I said
"We study the interpretation of body language at school. I'm the best
student we have of it, because father started me on that much earlier
than the other students had a chance to study it. A woman's cycles,
even of the most beautiful woman in the world, (I pointed to Debbie,
who didn't mind that at all) is obvious to the very trained eye. She is
in the fertile part of her cycle, and we don't have protection. We
aren't going to risk an accidental pregnancy." Glena said, "Alright,
but try not to make too much noise." Glena smiled knowingly, and Dan
winked at us. Nosy family. I love them.
We did what you expect, which wasn't screwing, and it was still
great, even though I couldn't use the link. It was strange, though,
because we could still feel each other's feelings a little. I guess
real love can make that happen. We discussed my loss, and our future,
which you don't need to know about, because that's private. Then we did
it again. Soon it was time for her to go home, and we kissed our
goodbyes. Tomba ported her home. Then it was time for bed. I slept with
Dan, naturally. I think he canceled a sleepover with Stuart so we could
do that, but I didn't ask him. I had to tell him I couldn't do the link
any more, but he said I still broadcast my nut playing feelings a
little, which he enjoyed. I was happy for him. Alright, for myself too,
because I love that. I wasn't sure I had enough left to squirt, but we
took it slow and easy, and we both did squirt very well. We slept in
each other's arms, with the whole world of love.
Dan wasn't home the rest of the week. I'm sure he did that so I could
be alone with each team member who slept with me each of those nights.
I don't know how they scheduled it, and I didn't notice any injuries,
but Chad was the first. He cried for me a lot. It had been very hard on
him, more than the other boys, because he was in love with me. Rod was
next. Then Pete, and then Race. Nigel was last, and it must have been
hard for him to wait to come home, but I'm sure he did that so I could
be one on one with the other team members. I didn't mention it, but he
knew I knew, and knew I was very grateful for his sacrifice. We have 3
beds in the room now, but Nigel chooses to sleep with me. When Dan is
home at night, we sleep all together, except when Stewart is with him.
Dan is in college, and so is Stuart, but not the same one, so they
don't live together. They could have a separate bedroom when Stuart is
here with Dan here, and because they are 18, they wouldn't be breaking
any rules to about screwing, but they like to share with Nigel and me.
I guess love and family has something to do with that, but I never
asked.
My school term has started again, too, and I spend most of my time
there teaching. I'm still studying computers, and expect to have a
masters in it before the end of the year. My strength is improving, and
I'm working out very hard in fighting practice. Sometimes I take over
from Pete at the Bureau, and do the work there, when he needs to do
other things. The 2 new students are doing very well, under Chad's
wing, and Nigel, even though he has a new name, we still call him that,
is doing very well, too. We are all studying the alien information, and
we expect to have some interesting inventions come from that. I had
made, and gave the crystals with my previous incarnations to Shan and
the Cardinal, who were very pleased to have them. I have some ideas I
plan to develop. If I need to do what I have in mind, if it proves
possible, it might be VERY interesting. So, because of that, and
because this is the last letter I'm writing to you, I want you to give
this one, and all the other's you've saved, along with Victoria's
drawings, to Tomba, who will keep them safe and secure for my future
self. There is still the second part of Chad's prophesy to complete.
Yes, I know who you are, Dr. Knot. I knew since halfway into my first
year in our school, but kept myself from realizing it, because I knew
it was good therapy, which a lonely little super genius boy desperately
needed. When my memory returned, I remembered you had asked my amnesiac
self to write to Carlos about my dreams. Then I couldn't fool myself
any longer. I've known consciously since I got my memory back. I
continued to write the letters to finalize the record for this part of
my life. I have enjoyed your letters to me, and communicating my life
to you. I respect you greatly, and I have many other good feelings for
you, but I want the last words in the last sentence of my last letter
to "Carlos" to be, I love you.
Your friend,
Stephen
