The Adventures of Stevie #149
These stories were told to me by friends and other people. Some of them
are true. Some of them are only partly true. Some of them should have
been true. LOL
My first post about Stevie ("Call me Stephen!") was when he was 12 and
in summer camp and was told by another camper. This was from a time
before computers would fit on a desk and when people communicated with
friends in other countries by actual letters sent through the postal
service. When children did this those friends were called "penpals".
Carlos is Stevie's penpal in Argentina and knows English. This is a
fictional contrivance to enable Stevie to tell us his stories because
he isn't here in person. I think.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Stevie's school is for gifted children who don't fit in regular schools.
The stories may not be posted in chronological order.
Stevie is 13 in this story, after the Winter holidays of year 4 of
school.
The Adventures of Stevie #149 "4th Lesson"
Dear Carlos,
I said "Come, Tomba, I want to show you something." We went into the
kitchen, in my apartment in the Temple. I took a glass from a cabinet
and put it on the countertop. I said "Open your third eye the widest,
and look for energy and controls around the glass. Tell me what you
saw, when this demonstration is over." I picked the glass up with a 4th
hand, and crushed it to powder, and let it fall to the countertop. I
turned to him, and he said, "Wow!" I poked him and said, "You saw a
wow?" We smiled at each other. He said "I saw some strange lines of
energy which I never saw before, which looked like they came from
nowhere, but had to come from someplace." I said "Right. They came from
the 4th. Would you like to learn how to manipulate objects in the real
please."
I said "I'm sorry, we still have a problem with that. It's a habit
they force on you here, which we aren't going to break in situations
like this. In my opinion, I'm not a real Master here, because I'm not a
Buddhist, even though I value almost all its teachings, probably more
than most professed Buddhists do. So, when I'm teaching, and you are in
your student monk mode, why don't you call me 'Master Teacher',
instead?" He said "Yes, Master Teacher. Oh, it worked!" I wanted to hug
and kiss him in happiness, but it would spoil what he needed to
maintain. He saw that and nodded.
I said "I have to tell you there are very few people I would teach
this too. In fact, I don't know anybody else, but the Abbot, and I'm
not sure he will ever be able to do this. Theoretically, the power is
unlimited. What I did to the glass, I could do to the moon, with the
same lack of effort, because all the energy for it comes from another
dimension." He said "Wow! That's a lot of responsibility." I said "I
know, maybe more than anybody else. When I developed the theory, I
decided to forget it. Then I was attacked by a crystal which used
something from the 4th, and I automatically defended myself from it by
doing what I just did to the glass. Then I decided to explore it to
it's fullest, just to be able to defeat the adept I'm after. I want you
to learn all you can about this, not just because I think you can be
trusted not to misuse it, but because he might defeat me, and I don't
want my knowledge to be lost."
I said "Do you realize you have already done this?" He thought a few
seconds, and said, "When I moved the object in the picture?" I said
"Right, and that's how we will start." I put a new glass on the
counter, and said, "Make a mental picture of the the room you see in
front of you. Reach through it with your mind like a hand, like you did
before, and grab the glass and pick it up." He did that, and the glass
rose in the air. I said "You can feel it with your object sense through
your 4th fingers, even it's weight. Slowly squeeze the glass, holding
all the parts together, until it's powder." He did that. I said "Now
open your mental fingers, and cut the connection." He did that, and the
powder fell to the countertop. He was in shock. I took him to the
living room and sat with him on the couch and hugged him.
I said to Tomba, "You can say wow, now." He tried to smile, but only
cried. I hugged him even tighter. After a while, he said, "It was so
easy. A terrible power. No man should have it." I said "I have agreed
with that from when I first thought about it, but the arms race has no
end." He knew what I meant, and said, "Responsibility hurts." Then I
cried too, and it was his turn to comfort ME.
I said "We aren't finished. The rest of the lesson is knowledge about
technique. With practice, you won't even need physical or mental
pictures of anything you can see with your object sense or your eyes,
just your will, which will automatically do all the steps needed to do
what you want. There is one thing I haven't had the courage to try, and
I don't recommend anybody else try it either. Can you guess what it
is?" He couldn't, so I said, "The adept using this to move himself." He
said "Oh! I see what you mean. You are NO coward, not to try that.
Thank you for the warning." I said "There isn't any need for me to try,
because I don't need the 4th to levitate." I lifted myself off the
couch and into the air, and stayed there. I grinned and said, "If you
think this is surprising, wait till you hear this. It's MUCH harder to
do than using the 4th to crush the moon." Then I floated back down to
the couch. His mouth had dropped open, so I reached over and closed it
for him. He had to laugh at that, and I joined him.
I said "I invented a flying platform, using some fancy crystal and
energy theories, which I recently incorporated into the Port-All
controller and power modules. Then I figured out how to use my body to
do it. I didn't know what I had invented was the flying carpet of
ancient times, which the knowledge of how to make them was lost. Mine
was different. The old ones could only be used by their creators, who
had to use their own energy to power it. I invented an artificial
chakra, which I could use to store the special energy it used. The
Abbot, and a few other adepts, can levitate while in lotus, by using
their energy to push against gravity, for only a few seconds at the
most. I didn't know that way existed, when I invented my method, or I
probably wouldn't have tried. My method is different, and doesn't use
energy to push against gravity, but changes the properties of mass so
it isn't effected by it. I tried to teach the Abbot my method, but it
took him months to get it. He could do the energy transformation, but
didn't understand the physics of the manipulation of fields. I asked
him to teach you that, when you have the skills you need to learn it."
"There is something funny about how I really learned to make full use
of this system. Dan and I had 2 boy guests overnight, who didn't know
anything about my special abilities. In the morning, I woke up with Dan
whispering in my ear to be very careful and still. I asked him what was
wrong, but then I noticed he was standing, and still was face to face
with me. Yes, I was floating in the air in my sleep. Somehow my
unconscious mind had decided to make energy manipulating nodes all over
my body and test them. That practically scared the pants off the boys
who didn't have any on. It took a lot of explaining to get them to calm
down, and something else. Know what it was?" He grinned and grabbed my
monster. Then I grabbed his. Then we were all over each other. I don't
know which one of us ported us to the bedroom and on the bed, and I
didn't care. We were one in sharing love, and that was enough.
Your friend,
Stephen
