Where are the continuity police when you need them? I'm re-reading
"All The Weyrs of Pern" and I spotted a conflict with "The Dolphins of
Pern," namely,the appearance of Lord Oterel at the end of
"Dolphins"--but he died in "Weyrs."
I don't have "Dolphins" handy at the moment, but I do recall that
Readis was about 14 when Robinton died (at the end of "Weyrs" and
almost 18 at the end of "Dolphins"
There's also some discrepancy in Readis' age. In "Weyrs," he's 5 when
he and Alemi have their first encounter with the dolphins. In
"Dolphins," he's 7 (This isn't explicitly stated at the time, but later
in the book, at age 17, Readis tells his mother that he's kept his
promise for "ten Turns."
And awhile back, someone asked what the age difference was between
Menolly and Sebell. There's 15 years between them. (though it strikes
me as odd that someone who's 30 would have only recently walked the
tables to make journeyman.
