Ista Hold: With Lord Corinal having been MIA for months now, the Lady
Tabriel has taken over the management of the Hold and done quite well.
Some mutter that she's doing TOO well, but the Hold continues to
flourish under her guidance. A new alliance seems to be rising between
the Weyr and the Hold, and most realize that Tabriel's hand is the one
guiding it.
Ista Weyr: The long-standing feud with Fort Weyr has made many
ignited when the new Weyrleader destroyed the Weyr's gardens and the
greenery around the waterfall pool, ostensibly in deference to
tradition. Political tensions are high, with members of the
Weyrleadership squabbling among themselves while riders and weyrfolk
form their own opinions about this new Weyrleader. (Note that the Weyr
is currently accepting Search applications, but will not be starting
Search in the traditional sense until they have sufficient
to new players.)
Crafts: Trinity, the Craft Wizard, is always accepting applications
for insta-crafters of all ranks and Crafts. There are also Crafters
available on the +roster for those who would like to go that route. At
both Hold and Weyr, there's ample opportunity for Crafters to get
involved in plots, and many come pre-written to help affect the
politics of Pern.
General Info: 11th Pass with no Aivas and set exclusively on Ista
Island, we've done a lot to make Threadfall more than just your
hum-drum Pern game. REAL plots that affect everyone from gardeners to
Journeymen to Lord Holders are afoot, shaping the political, economic,
and social state of the Island and Pern itself. OOC, the game is run
almost purely democratically, with separate, democratic staffs for the
players, taking game-wide votes for key decisions. The +roster system
allows players to adopt pre-made PCs that have in-roads into RP
already, helping new players find a niche must faster.
