A short note to extend best wishes for the upcomming holiday.
May all of you gents make a little mary....er....merry.
Please be carefull riding the ol' yak home (at US$19.95 using
the 'rent a yak' service makes sense ...no?).
I note with some dismay that posts 'l'sewhere seem to be getting
rather 'bitchy'. That is not in good keeping with the spirit of
the season. Some forget that ALL were 'newbies' at one time. I for
one would not have a clue had it not been for the patient explanations
that were made by the 'old farts' that used to hang in abeppt. My
'security level' is a bit low to be offering advice in the 'on topic'
froups so I leave that to 3ft (I declined the 'test' as like a few others
I don't d/l the bunny's and have nothing on my 'puter anyways). I have leaned
a lot from some of you fellas and will repay the debt some day.
A guess as to the poster/lurker ratio---100 to 1 (more?) We NEED each other!
As pointed out by a smart dunce, there is NO way that any of us will ever meet
in RL, yet >knowing< that we are not alone and possibly having some one to
talk to when RL does not go so well may save a life!!! It saved mine.
Think about it! Remember the season and what it is REALLY about!
