EXTRA INFO:
- For the mixed soundtrack, cues are placed in strict story order, and where appropriate, mixed together to form longer, more coherent tracks. And where significantly different cues followed each other with no significant break between, I have added track divides.
- Stereo ambiance has been applied to the mixed soundtrack.
- Three repeated cues have been removed. One was a short section lifted from the cue previous to it, the other was a long sequence of standalone drum beat, top and tailed with some Dalek March. One of these had more drums beats in the middle than the other (and went on forever) so I retained the shorter version (track 11: An Uneasy Alliance'). The last Exxillon chant had a long (1:22) repeated sequence at the end, which I have removed (it did go on forever!). have left the cue intact in the unmixed soundtrack.
- The Exxillon chant tracks on the isolated score were raw and untreated, and sounded very different to what was used in the final TV dub. I have added reverb to these tracks so they sound closer to what was heard on TV. I have left them (and every cue) untouched on the unmixed CD if you want to hear the difference (the very clear main vocals on some of the chants did make me chuckle!)
- 3 sound effects are included at the end: 'Dalek Ship Opening' (originally in the main score before the first Dalek 'March' - you can hear it in context in the introductory excerpt 'Dalek Arrival'), the 'Pulsing Beacon of the Exxillon City' (included - with a lot of sound faults - now fixed - at the end of the deleted scenes on the DVD), and the 'Control Room in the Exxillon City' - sampled from the recent CD re-release of 'Doctor Who Sound Effects'.
- Also included are the Carey Blyton 'Dalek' and 'Vogan' music suites from the CD "Doctor Who meets Sherlock Holmes". Both sets of 3 tracks come with an introductory excerpt here. As the DVD has no isolated score, I have included the music from 'Revenge of the Cybermen' (the 'Vogan' suite) on this album, as I will be re-doing 'Doctor Who and the Silurians' very soon (which originally had all 3 music suites from Carey Blyton). I felt the music from 'Revenge' was more at home on this album (Daleks & Cybermen).
