Once again, Crusty is proving that he has very little
idea of what happens in the various Usenet groups where
he tries his hardest to be a malicious troll. Being a
somewhat senile old fart sitting at home all day in
a rapidly escalating state of dementia he has no actual
concept of the term "WE". It's a feature of the loneliness
associated with those types of "people" who feel the
need to become cantankerous and objectionable as they
get older. This causes their circle of friends to
diminish, thus they get even more crusty and vile.
It's a vicious circle.
Oldguard is now at that stage where nobody gives two
fucks about him or his vindictive and malicious
attitude, so he stews in his own poison. So, as we
said, the concept of "WE" is now completely alien to
him and his kind. It would be nice to think that Joe
performs his miraculous feats single-handedly but not
even Joe can achieve everything without assistance.
The booting of HipNip and OneTime was very much a
corporate effort requiring a large number of contacts
and resources. The removal of boatloads of malicious
trolls was an equally participative operation.
It might be fun for an old dinosaur like oldguard
to sit behind his computer, spitting on the floor,
and wishing that one day he could have a friend or
even a caller, but it ain't gonna happen. For what
little is left of his miserable life, he will judge
others by his own forlorn experiences and, in a way,
there may be those who feel sorry for him. WE don't!
