First Half: Author and radio commentator Stacy Horn joins Ian Punnett to discuss her latest work researching human incarceration and horrors of Roosevelt Island. Previously, it was the site of a lunatic asylum, two prisons, an almshouse, and a number of hospitals. The Island quickly became, in the words of a visiting Charles Dickens, "a lounging, listless madhouse."
