The Break is set in the fictional Yorkshire coastal town of Flamford - the seaside town sanity forgot - and features retired resident, Jeff Whittaker and his estranged London-bred financial whizz-kid nephew, Andy Chambers, who has arrived unannounced and stressed-out in desperate need of peace and quiet.
Over the series, Jeff and Andy form an unlikely double act and whether it's trying to claim a free dinner at the local posh hotel or attempting to recycle a fridge, there are a host of Flamford residents getting in the way, from pompous self-interested Derek Horrox The Mayor, and punctilious and pedantic PC Clarke to extremely-pleased-with-herself local minister, The Reverend Beverley.

Andy Chambers, edgy, sharp-tongued City burn-out, has fled London for his Uncle Jeff's seaside home. When we meet him, all Andy wants to do is sleep, but Jeff is having none of it.
102 - Cold Mountain

Andy and Jeff find an abandoned fridge and think their luck has changed. Indeed, it has - for the worse.
103 - Dead Man's Dinner

Jeff and Andy have won a slap-up dinner for two at Flamford's poshest eaterie - The Royal Albion Hotel.
104 - Sunday, Flipping Sunday
2016-06-20
Jeff and Andy discover the local church has installed a new vicar, the Reverend Beverley, who invites Jeff to her bible class that evening.
105 - Occupied
2016-06-27
Uncle Jeff reveals a hitherto unknown secret to Andy: that dusty shop downstairs from his seaside flat belongs to Jeff.
106 - The Girl From The South
2016-07-04
Uncle Jeff decides that Andy needs a girlfriend. Andy decides that he does not.
