I just got this album recently and have been thrashing it in my ute. Except for the most accessible final track with its dubby bassline, at first it all washed over/past me. But on subsequent listens it revealed more to me and now I love the whole thing. For me it's a bit like World Receiver, which is my favourite Inoue album = that I've heard - but without the field recordings. It's a step on from Ambient Otaku, which is nice but its sounds are a bit too locked into its time of early nineties trance/ ambient for me.
The layers of sounds are beautiful and like W R, I can't see myself getting sick of this. You'll drift off/in, you'll miss your turn off on the freeway.
