Serious Blues Band for almost 12 years. Ted's career began as a drummer in

Milton, Artie Bluesboy White and Tyrone Davis. After playing with a few
bands but not settling into anything serious, he found himself behind the kit
of the Willie Clayton Band, a band which regularly opened for the likes of
both B.B. and Albert King. Each King had asked Ted to join their respective
bands, an honor he felt obligated to decline, citing a wife and children at
home he could not leave for the road. In 1986 Ted was hired by Carlos
Johnson, during this period Ted was also hired by artists such as Melvin
Taylor, Valerie Wellington, Big Time Sarah, Gloria Hartman, Aaron Burton,
Pinetop Perkins and Zora Young. It was during 1986-88 Ted met Mick Jagger
and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones and Stevie Ray Vaughn, and got the

and his wife left, Ted put down the drum sticks and picked up the guitar. He
soon realized he was able to express himself in ways not previously known
behind the drum kit. In his home sits a guitar case full of original material, a
collection of stories detailing more than 40 years of life as a true bluesman.
Many of these songs have made their way onto one of Ted's 7 original
albums. When you listen to Ted play, you can clearly hear the Kings, and the
Collins, the Stevie Ray Vaughan and the Rory Gallagher that have
undoubtedly influenced his playing. Ted is an open channel of energy that
can be felt by his fellow musicians and most definitely by his audience.
