Very impressive concept drone ambient album inspired by Indian epic myth Popol Vuh.
Gigi Gasparetti (OOPHOI) mixed his own synths and drones with charmonic chants by Lorenzo Pierobon, flute playing by Mauro Malgrande, synths by Tau Ceti and drones by Klaus Wiese to paint the pictures taken from the ancient myth about creating of the Universe, the Earth, the animals and the humanity.
The compostions here were written in a little bit dark meditative mood, so the music on this album gives you possibility to think about something while listening to it or to relax with it but it's not simple background ambient music.
My favourite track is the last - "The Dawn of Man". Synths by OOPHOI and chants by Lorenzo Pierobon imitating the naive singing of primitive cave man (no, it's not Mike Oldfield's Piltdown version of it :)... Music is creating the bright picture in the mind of the listener - listening to this album is just like watching the film. If you would read Popol Vuh book before listening - you'll understand the concept of the album and the music would work for you perfectly.
