Thoughts: I am posting to the main lossless group and the classical music group. If from the latter, could you tell me whether such posts there are acceptable. I have a directory with quite a few such albums that I categorize as "Classical Crossover", either tradition classical compositions played in a more energetic manner (usually with drumming), or Pop music hits played by an orchestra or ensemble employing mostly non-rock instruments. The art of transcription, particularly upward or sideways transcription, has always fascinated me (eg 'Pictures from an Exhibition' orchestrated by Ravel or by Rimsky-Korsakov).
