It was through a recording of "Zippy", included here and aired recently on KPIG (Monterey Bay) that I discovered its author and performer, Michael Peter Smith, and Steve Goodman, a frequent collaborator. In live recordings you'll hear Goodman acknowledge Smith quite often. So far, I prefer Goodman's cover of Smith's songs (e.g. The Dutchman). Still worth checking out, IMHO.
