A+ Excellent audience recording - This capture could rival a soundboard tape.
I had the discipline to sit still and remain as quiet as possible in order to produce a high quality audio capture.
I believe my efforts benefit Slash/GNR fans around the world, as audience recordings do not get much better.
I had the good fortune to see SLASH Featuring Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators at the House Of Blues - Mandalay Bay on New Year's Eve.
When I purchased my tickets online, I was offered seats in lodge SEC 200 (far right of stage).
On December 29th, all of the unsold VIP tickets were listed on Ticketmaster at face value.
I quickly called Ticketmaster Fan Support (800-653-8000) and upgraded my 3 tickets to the lodge center section, row C.
My mother and brother who are Las Vegas residents (Texas Bible Belt refugees), joined me at the show.
The House Of Blues New Year's Eve concert was the first time my mom had seen Slash since we saw Guns N' Roses in Austin, TX on February 23, 1993, when I was just 15!
It was a hoot to see my 69 year old mother singing along to Welcome To The Jungle, Sweet Child O'Mine, and Paradise City!
With the strong rumors of a pending Guns N' Roses reunion, I hoped that Axl and Duff would make guest appearances at Slash's show.
I even had my brother on "Axl Rose Patrol", as he works on the Las Vegas Strip. Unfortunately, Slash's original partners in crime were M.I.A at the House Of Blues.
This was O.K. with me, as Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators do a fantastic job of carrying on the TRUE Guns N' Roses Spirit!!
Highlights of the show were tributes to Lemmy Kilmister and Scott Weiland, as well as the never before performed cover of Ace Of Spades!
Before the gig, I overheard Slash's merchandise guy mention that the New Year's Eve show would be unique as it would feature musical tributes to Lemmy and Weiland.
The rare performance of My Michelle was a pleasant surprise, too!
During the finale of Paradise City, Slash branded confetti was blasted into the crowd. My family and I got covered in the stuff.
20 minutes before midnight, at the conclusion of the show, a fan named Adam proposed to his girlfriend with support from the band!
OH YEAH! To the commercial bootleggers, if you plan to sell a factory pressed version of my master recording,
PLEASE at least have the decency to send me a set of the silvers (5+ copies) for my collection!!
