Daniel Frost works at the Forever Center, the giant conglomerate that holds
sway over governments and nations. The Center's main responsibility is the
research into prolonging human life. Vaults of the deceased are frozen at the
Center, waiting for the "cure" for death to be discovered. This second life
causes people to scrounge and save in their first, so that when they are
reawakened, their investments have gained huge interest and they can live
comfortably forever.
