Coinicidentally, Astraweb dropped a slew of newsgroups 8 days after
you posted this.

     Headers Database Upgrade
Posted By: Alex On: 18 Dec 2017 11:09 PM

     Details
     Please purge/delete your headers

Due to a database upgrade, please purge/delete all the headers in
your newsreader and reload the headers again.

Headers do not count towards your block account quotas.

We do apologise for the inconvenience.

If you need any assistance, please contact our friendly helpdesk
     staff at [...]

These groups, among others, are now completely inaccessible (no
headers or bodies available) after this so-called upgrade:

a.b.aoi
a.b.errorman
a.b.p.wals
a.b.p.webeweb
a.b.p.willeymodels
a.b.p.youth-and-beauty
a.b.way_topost

How's that for a lump of coal? While they've long been dormant (except
for spam), they were home to close to 10 years' worth of posts within
the retention of most pay servers, including Astraweb. They are gone,
and they're not carried by Giganews or Easynews either.
