I got that a little wrong- it sould read:
The joining utilities I have want to see a ".001" ,".002", etc at the
end of the filenames.
The renaming utilities don't seem to like the period (".") anywhere
except at the end of the filename and the rose delight videos had
multiple periods in the filename.
