Yes, I saw them in the latest Hitlist. Issue #6 is in the 2000 x 3000
px range and does not suffer from overly high JPEG storage –
optimization only saves ~11%. I would be sorely tempted to start
converting to webp if Drawnstrips Reader was less damn buggy. I still
haven't found a good modern native Mac comic reader. And while iOS is
good for couch reading, it's not a reasonable solution for library
management. Sidenote: iOS comic readers are modern (webp, etc.), but
not much less buggy so "yeah me".
It's cool to see them as all but 4 in the 20-30 range are new to me.
I still have a stack of Archie issues that aren't in my digital
collection that I need to scan. I have been releasing those at 300 dpi.
Also I bought Supes 261 as a Chistmas gift to myself that I need to
scan. It's one of the first comics I can remember from my childhood
(along with a Rhino guest star issue in Hulk (#104?) and a
Avengers/Defenders issue that I need to ID based on a couple of panels
I can half remember). These are all borrowed/found-laying-around issues
that pre-date my actual (expensive) comic buying hobby/addiction
starting at age 12 or 13 (right at the start of the Claremont/Byrne
Xmen run).
Now if I can just found where I left my motivation laying around at...
