Can't say that anything that you've said makes me any more interested
in Riverdale. ;-)
The Klingon remake looks horrible in stills, so I guess I'm not
surprised. Waiting for it on something other than CBS streaming but I
can't say I'm that interested.
I'm generally open to the newer versions of the continually rehashed
properties but I'll admit they're normally not an improvement. My son
likes all the Japanese Godzilla movies up to even the latest mostly CGI
reboot. And most of the modern Scooby series. He has seen all of the
direct-to-video animated Scooby movies. So we're not all anti-"new".
We're pretty big HB fans here. They (wife and son) even like the old
animated Godzilla series (that was a hard one to get the second season
of). Original JQ & Herculoids are big ones along with Scooby, but they
basically like it all up to the mid/late 70s,
The real favorites at our house are golden age theaterical cartoons:
Looney Toons/Merrie Melodies (up to the mid/late 50s), Tom & Jerry
(HB's run), Tex Avery (MGM run). Even a little Barney Bear & Chilly
Willy.
