I'm not Baldrick, but are you aware you just left a name, address, and
phone number for LEA with that question? You would have been 100,000
times more secure asking that question through either of the other two
newsservers you mentioned. Both Giganews and Astraweb carry a large
number of OT groups and don't post your identity with your message.
The problem with dropped groups is that the posters can no longer post
to them so it matters little if you can get them or not.
Servers that remove posts are complying with the law and that's how they
avoid fraud charges and being severely curtailed on the groups they do
carry. The removal happens after a period of time. If you stay current
on your reading that should not be too big a problem.
Keep at least one other server for the times articles are removed before
you can get to them. Two others with good group lists are Supernews and
Easynews.
Please don't post here again from any account in your name. Get an
account in a phony name paid for anonymously if you intend to post in
the future. Access it only through Tor. Use an anonymous, web-based
email account accessed through Privoxy/Tor or xbBrowser for any
communications with the NSP.
Otherwise, only download from OT groups and restrict your posting to
groups containing only legal material. It's when you post that your
neck is out. Posts are logged; downloads are not.
