I would agree with all you said except that I remember no significant
passworded posts and I have been checking them out for years.
Another thing to make you suspicious of a passworded movie file is
that there is never an ifo file with it.
A situation I have found that is rather tricky is the movie or dvd is
encoded in a rar file and then that is encoded in another rar file in
the old rar system where the first rar file (name.rar) is posted after
all the others, I have come across this twice lately. Fortunately both
times it was OK.
I have generally found binsearch very useful although I am sure they
could find a way to mark all the passworded posts.
