Hi John,
I will give Subtitle Edit a try, thanks for the advice. I like free software :)
I do not remember when I got Mogunger, been years, the srt file came along with
it and had always been out of whack. I got it from some torrent or download
site, which are just too risky for me nowadays even with a VPN. Same place I
got Hodder, but the subs were fine for it.
I will post Hodder soon, I'm still playing around with stunnel and I think I
have it working better, but it still gets stuck sometimes. I like the SSL
between me and Giganews, it eliminates an aspect of internet use monitoring. I
don't like hearing that about the search engines, is it just txt files or nfo
files? What about 0 part par files? (which I don't know how to make yet). I
don't like rtf files because they open Word on my system and are a potential
vector for a malware payload (not that I expect it from this group of course).
A spreadsheet sounds like a great idea. I tried to do something similar years
ago for my tapes and DVD's, and never was able to keep it up to date. Lack of
self discipline :) My current goal is to remember to change the name of
downloads to the correct one or I will be crazy soon looking for something I am
sure I have but can't find.
