I have a technical problem with Agent and posting in the other group
so I will reply here regarding your concerns.
Since you left, filesharing has increased to a huge extent. Because
people can get things for free rather than pay news server subs a
large number of people now use that. It is probably the reason that
less is being posted in news groups. I have always had concerns about
posting that way and have basically only posted subtitles. I have
certainly downloaded many old movies in the past 2 years that I would
not have found otherwise. Because of the volume I think it extremely
unlikely they will come after downloaders. People who post, especially
fairly recent movies and TV shows, especially from the mouse, are a
completely different matter.
Although I have not downloaded the movie asked about I have used links
from the Czech "Library" before and have also used the Uloz
filesharing site (using JDownloader to get around Russian language
problems.)
The important thing though is we all need to do what we ourselves feel
is safe as we have to accept the consequences.
