Thanks to the Original Poster!
This illustrates one of the reasons I don't want to post my Favorites list. I know a lot of guys would rate The Caine Mutiny (1954) higher. This type of List is subjective, and everyone has one in one form or another. I don't want to start arguing whether it should be ranked #5 or #30.
Humphrey Bogart is my all-time second favorite actor. For some reason, this isn't one of my favorite Humphrey Bogart movies. Still entertaining, but not a Bogart favorite. Maybe I just prefer him in a more positive role, such as Rick in the movie Casablanca, rather than in a negative role, playing the Captain of a ship who has lost his faculties.
Humphrey Bogart used to be my all-time favorite actor. Now I rank John Wayne ahead of Bogart. I think John Wayne is more versatile and has excelled in a greater variety of roles. They both have played in War movies. They both have played in comedies. They both have played in Westerns. But John Wayne did a great jitterbug in The Fighting Seabees (1944), whereas I can't even imagine Humphrey Bogart doing a jitterbug. *ggg*
Anyway, think of my Favorites list, not as a list as such, but as another evaluation feedback. You have IMDb's rating and my ranking. You can also think of it as my opinion. I think there are 29 movies in the Drama genre I enjoy more. But I prefer it to other movie Favorites in the Drama list. For example, using a movie I've already posted (in the post-1960 group), I enjoy The Caine Mutiny (1954) more than I enjoyed Birdman of Alcatraz (1962), which I ranked #33 in the Drama category. And over time, using my posted rankings, you'll be able to reconstruct the list.
