You've gone through a lot of work when you didn't have to. The series
was released on region free BluRay around August last year. It's not a
full restoration, but it's far better than anything you'll get off of
the DVD sets. Unfortunately, season 2 is included - but you can ignore
them. Rumor has it that it would've cost more to produce the sets
without the second season.
My own 720p personal rip has the pilot move coming in slightly larger
than yours at 1.5GB.
