Can you be more specific about your problem? I opened them with no
problem some time ago. What utility are you using to open them, and
what kind of error are you getting? That would go a long way towards
getting a useful answer.
You were provided, I believe, with a resource to get the NZB files.
NZB's are links to the actual, previous upload. They're an outstanding
resource for Usenet so that files don't have to be uploaded over and
over again; you can use the 'pointer/link' to download files that were
uploaded once before and which are generally still on your services'
servers(s). Different Usenet providers have different retention
periods. Some for only a year or two; others for eight to nine years.
But once they're up there, you can normally get them years after the
original upload by using the NZB link file.
By downloading and opening the NZB in your Usenet reader, the headers
for the actual files will be downloaded into your reader from their
location on your Usenet services' server, much as you download headers
in your conventional way. Once you download the headers, you can then
download the files themselves, just as you would any other header
files in the group.
If your problem revolves around how to use NZB files, ask and someone
will help you through the process. Not everyone may use the Newgroup
reader you are, but if you still have problems once you open the NZB
into your reader and get the actual headers for the Nigella programs,
