it seems unison creats ABC.001, etc files and PARS lightningly fast
so if these work for most of you Ill do it that way from now on
pls comment if you need to
SimplyRAR will make RAR's which is what Ive been using in the past
seems RAR making is difficult on a mac
Ive asked about this on a Mac forum
