By the way I just learned that the problems I've had with the new .mp4
format in Youtube are not due to me.
RealPlayer has the explanation.There is a compatibility issue with the
new .mp4 files "that are not actually MP4s but a new streaming format
that is being misidentified as MP4.We are working toward compatibility
with this new format"

Interesting to learn! It seems we are frequently being blessed with new
formats that have no obvious value and make downloading/playing more of a
problem. I suppose they are good for those who don't want you to save things
to your own hard drive.
