magically came to life on Christmas Eve, and Kris Kringle became Santa Claus?

ren and grandchildren... creating new memories and holiday traditions that

Disc 1:
Mister Magoo's Christmas Carol (1962-TV) (52:28)
An animated, magical, musical version of Dickens' timeless classic "A
Christmas Carol." The nearsighted Mr. Magoo doesn't have a ghost of a chance
as Ebenezer Scrooge, unless he learns the true meaning of Christmas from the
three spirits who haunt him one Christmas Eve.

Cricket on the Hearth (1967-TV-G) (49:20)
A delightful, animated musical version of Charles Dickens' classic tale.
A Cricket on the Hearth tells the story of a poor toymaker and his daughter
whom a helpful Cricket named Crocket befriends on Christmas morning. When
tragedy strikes the family, it's Crocket who comes to the rescue and restores
peace and happiness.

The Little Drummer Boy (1968-TV) (25:14)
After Aaron's parents are killed by desert bandits, he takes on a hatred of
all people and his only friends are the lamb, Bimbaabaa, the donkey, Samson,
and the camel, Joshua.
But an unscrupulous traveling showman named Ben Haramed convinces the boy to
join his troupe of performers and travel with them to Jerusalem to perform
for the masses gathered there for the Roman's forced taxation and census of
the Jews.
Afterwards, Haramed sees a way to make some quick gold and sells Joshua to a
trio of kings who are following a bright star in the sky. Aaron follows the
star as well, to find Joshua, but then Baabaa is badly injured, and Aaron
must overcome his hatred of mankind and find a gift with which to approach
the babe in the manger and ask for help...

Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town (1970-TV-G) (50:47)
The Mailman decides to answer some of the most common questions about Santa
Claus, and tells us about a small baby named Kris who was left on the door-
step of the Kringle family who were toymakers. When Kris grew up, he wanted
to deliver toys to the children of Sombertown. But its Burgermeister, Herr
Meisterburger, is too mean to let that happen. And to make things worse,
there's an evil wizard named Winter who lives between the Kringles and
Sombertown, but Kris manages to melt Winter's heart (as well as the comely
schoolteacher's) and deliver his toys.
Disc 2:
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964-TV-G) (51:44)
Sam the Snowman tells us the story of a young red-nosed reindeer who, after
being ousted from the reindeer games because of his beaming honker, teams up
with Hermey, an elf who wants to be a dentist, and Yukon Cornelius, the
prospector. They run into the Abominable Snowman and find a whole island of
misfit toys. Rudolph vows to see if he can get Santa to help the toys, and
he goes back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. But Santa's sleigh is
fogged in, but when Santa looks at Rudolph, he gets a very bright idea...

Frosty the Snowman (1969-TV-G) (25:23)
A discarded silk top hat becomes the focus of a struggle between a washed-up
stage magician and a group of schoolchildren after it magically brings a
snowman to life. Realizing that newly-living Frosty will melt in spring
unless he takes refuge in a colder climate, Frosty and a young girl whom he
befriends stow away on a freight train headed for the North Pole. But little
do they know that the magician is following them, and he wants his hat
back...

Frosty Returns (1992-TV-G) (23:08)
Beansboro Elementary School is canceled for the day due to a 7-inch snowfall.
While the adults incessantly complain about the problems they have to deal
with due to the snow and ice, the children enjoy the opportunity to frolic
and play outside in the snow.
Holly DeCarlo is a depressed and lonely young girl and aspiring magician with
only one friend, a tone-deaf, somewhat geeky character named Charles who has
a knack for climatology. While practicing a magic act with Charles, the wind
blows Holly's hat off her head, out the window, and onto a snowman who comes
to life as Frosty, thus revealing that Holly's hat was "that old silk hat"
featured in the original song and previous adaptations.
Meanwhile, a new product appears in Beansboro that successfully causes snow
to instantly disappear (thus posing a fatal threat to Frosty), an aerosol
spray called "Summer Wheeze." Summer Wheeze's inventor, Mr. Twitchell, hopes
to use the product to win over the people of Beansboro so that he will be
crowned King of the Beansboro Winter Carnival, apparently believing that the
title will give him actual dominion over the townspeople.
To Twitchell's delight, and Frosty's dismay, the town of Beansboro falls head
over heels for "Summer Wheeze," causing Frosty to fear for his long-term
safety. When many of their classmates rally for the elimination of snow when
in class the next day, only a day after singing about its virtues, Holly and
Charles take on the duties of protecting Frosty, including hiding him in a
freezer and securing refuge for him in an ice castle built for the Carnival.
Later, Holly gets Frosty to appear at the Winter Carnival in an attempt to
persuade the townspeople to reevaluate their prejudice of snow.

Bought this 2-Blu-Ray set mostly to get "The Little Drummer Boy" in HD, but
as was mentioned on the Blu-Ray.com site, this 'Digital Restoration' leaves a
lot to be desired...
It is a bit brighter, and more clear, but at the end of the day, there just
wasn't much to work with in the original :(
Even so, I'm not completely disappointed with the purchase, and I get
"Rudolph" in much better definition that I had previously :)
Although we see Cuties onscreen in five of the offerings, only two of the
films feature actual Boys (voices), "The Little Drummer Boy" and "Frosty
Returns."
Note: Neither MultiPar nor QuickPar would accept the insanely-long filenames
I created for these archives, so I shortened them to only include the IMDb
for The Little Drummer Boy, which is the most OT of the bunch...
