Ian Mackensie worries that his summer vacation at Grandma's will be totally
lame - even with Bentley (his spirited (talking) dog) with him. But when
Jules, the cute tomboy who lives next door to Grandma befriends him, the
adventures begin!
There is a dark, haunted mansion in which the strange, reclusive Franklin
Lyle lives. Suspense builds as the kids meet slick Jimmy Murano and his dev-
ious lawyer, Camille, who are trying to force Franklin off the property.
They will succeed if thay can solve a decades-old mystery and find a hidden
treasure before anyone else.
Action and humor abound as we follow the group's escapades - including a
hair-raising car chase and a hurried attempt by Sheriff Burke to auction the
old mansion out from under Franklin.
The kids and their dog save the day - with the treasure discovered, the man-
sion saved, romance renewed, and the greedy crooks thwarted.
Not bad for a "lame" summer vacation at Grandma's!
