Eddie Chandler isn't a bad kid, just a rambunctious, free-wheeling teen, but
he's hanging out with the wrong crowd, ignoring his mother and heading for
trouble.
A petty crime goes wrong and Eddie is seriously injured. Mistaken for dead,
he's transported to heaven by a novice angel named Howard. When the error is
realized, Eddie is returned to Earth. Following his "miraculous recovery,"
Howard reappears as Eddie's social worker, a wondrous teacher with an inspir-
ing ability to touch people's lives.
Under Howard's guidance, Eddie undergoes a dramatic transformation, and the
new Eddie is soon put to the test when he must save his mother from grave
danger...
