Caroline, a 10-year-old Montreal girl, is visiting her father on the set of a
film shooting at a mediaeval Austrian castle, when the special effects
concocted by old Otto suddenly begin to go awry. Caroline smells sabotage and
decides to investigate.
With the help of Jakob, an Austrain boy her own age who is hanging around
watching the film production with great interest, she finds the guilty party:
