With the greatly increased speed of Internet connections, and the falling prices
of hard drive storage, I find myself also passing on a lot of Rips, in favor of
the full DVD's. As you say, the quality is one issue, but the Extras,
Commentaries, Behind-the-Scenes, etc. are also a nice addition :)
My very favorite films/shows? Gosh, there are so many, it's hard to even begin
to make a list!
My most favoritest movie of all time would have to be "D.A.R.Y.L." (1985)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088979/ with Barret Oliver and Danny Corkill.
Barret captured my heart from the first moment I saw him and those beautiful
brown eyes of his :) - And Danny, well, let's just say that Danny has other
assets... ;)
I honestly can't pick out just one TV-Series, though - There are so many that
I've enjoyed over the years, and some that I continue to come back to, time
after time:
The "Chocky" series ("Chocky" (1984) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0202722/ -
"Chocky's Children" (1985) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0426664/ - "Chocky's
Challenge" (1986) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0426663/ ), with Andrew Ellams;
"Voyagers!" (1982) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083500/ with the Brown-Eyed,
Curly-Haired Meeno Peluce (which I just completed watching today :) );
"Dennis the Menace" (1959-1963) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052461/ with the
Cute-as-a-Button, Squeaky-Voiced Jay North and his Every-Bit-as-Cute sidekick,
Billy Booth;
"Family Affair" (1966-1971) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059982/ with that
Red-Haired Moppet, Johnny Whitaker;
"James at 15" (1977) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075519/ with the always
interesting Lance Kerwin
See? I can't list just one! :P
