There are several simple apps to do different things but all of which finish off
by letting you play the files in the right order.
The two easiest (IMO) are file rename and BLjoin.
You can go in and alter the mp3 tags but I wouldn't recommend it :)
So, renaming the files - just renumber them from 1-01 1-02 etc to 01, 02, 03 etc
using any renaming app
I use 1-4a Rename which is quite free and I'll post it.
The option I use is to join all the 1- files into one bigger file using a simple
little app called BLjoin.exe which, of course, renames whilst joining.
This joining app overrides the tendency of mp3 readers to use the mp3 tags. It
is also quite free and I'll post this too.
You may well need some patience and inquisitiveness at first to find out how
these apps work best but once mastered they are quick and easy.
I have used both of these apps for more than ten years and they run fine on
windows 10
