Re: jimmy please speak up for your group
cream (cream@creamery.com) 2011/12/07 18:13

Thanks for your reply.

Did I say I did not have the necessary to access the latest posts? No.

I was speaking in general about the way this group has gone, it's a
departure from what jimmy has been doing right up to a short time ago, which
is sharing. This is what jimmy typically liked to happen, not what you
assert he likes. And about what that has meant for all our friends. It has
meant nothing in terms of the safety of posters or downloaders. Their safety
depends on other things than simply putting locks on the posts. For the real
benefit of the locks, the old ones (not the passwords) do just as well as
the new. The consequences of changing the locks have been negative for our
friends. Nothing else is affected. Please say if that is not the case.

Do you really think jimmy could have been offended by my remarks? I praised
jimmy, and I particularly praised his inclusive posting of the past. Didn't
I? I am critical of the way some people, and most of them are not posters,
by the way, have taken control over access to the posts of posters, and this
is against jimmy's wishes as expressed in just some of those messages you
say I should have read!. The posters themselves are not keeping people out,
and I don't think it's altogether complimentary to them that those
non-posters with control of access are gating access to the risky hard work
of posters. Do you?

I know for a fact, having communicated with a number of people, that the guy
that jimmy agreed should guarantee that our friends would have access to his
posts has not been replying to requests, as nicely as they have been asked,
and nobody else has either, unless the requester has additionally offered a
"bribe". Have you been helping, my dear? Please tell us here. This is how
private groups operate. Isn't it? This contradicts jimmy's express approval
for access for our friends to be given as arranged in just some of those
same messages you mention! Finding the other ways to get access depends on a
number of factors, some of them outside the control of our friends. Can you
show that this is not the case? The very difficulty of following the trail
was the reason for the emailing-for-help plan jimmy authorised, surely! He
realised the truth of that. Not like you. So what is your point?

Your point I think is to throw the usual muck at our friends. Agressors
always blame their victims.

Thanks and best wishes.
