Need I remind you what happened the last time a group of people decided
to pgp in a secret group?
Suffice it to say, things should stay out in the open. The more
clandestine you become, the bigger a target you become. The passwords are
simply a barrier so that no one can say they accidentally downloaded and
saw something.
