I'm tired of formatting your messages for you. Maybe you don't know that they
are all on a single line. If you're viewing them through some sort of word-wrap
display, just be aware that this is not how it appears to the outside world.

Anyone who is trying to sell just their own posts on a web site doesn't have a
very good business model. What you want to do is comb Usenet, get the posts
organized and in place, and then sell them to whomever is willing to pay.
Why would anyone pay for something they can get for free?
Convenience.
Air is free, but most of us would be willing to pay someone to compress it and
let it travel down a little hose that has a connector on the end that happens to
interface with the valve stem on our tire.
The point you are missing in all of this, is that to a Socialist - Progressive
all profits are evil. If anyone should design a successful business model that
created a profit for providing a service people wanted, then it is an example of
the evils of Capitalism and it must be destroyed.
Why should anyone care if someone finds a way to make money with the posts that
are on Usenet? It is neither your money, nor your posts, nor is it wrong.
As to your image file question, the problem with an image file is that they burn
perfectly, no matter what. On a DVD9, even the original layer breaks may still
be intact, although the data between those breaks has changed. Thus the DVD
file structure may not have its original integrity. A dedicated DVD burner will
verify the file structure, even making changes where possible, but it can't do
this if it can't see the raw files. So the raw files must be extracted from the
image file prior to burning.
