I do not understand what you mean by "check them in Quickpar" as Quickpar is an application for creating PAR files - the only person who can check them with Quickpar is the person who created them using Quickpar - or so I've been told.

Double-Clicking any PAR2 file in the fileset starts Quickpar.
There is a reason why files do not decode automatically. Many times a
downloaded fileset when checked with stand-alone Quickpar, shows short
a few blocks. Then go back and download enough PAR2 recovery blocks
to make Quickpar show a good fileset.
Also 7-Zip will usually decode a good fileset that WinRAR rejected.
The worst case is when the PAR2 file itself is corrupt and everytime
Quickpar runs, it turns a good fileset into a corrupt fileset. Rarely
happens, but when it does, making a backup copy of the files saves
multiple downloads. Sometimes running WinRAR or 7-Zip first will
decode the fileset and the PAR2 check files can be ignored.
Also, at least on my computer, Newsbin has a history of not getting
all file headers.
"Read Post Body" is a separate mess - the Newsbin people decided to
ignore RPB commands if Newsbin thinks there is no message body. Forte
Agent is one way to read those messages.
